  • Well-maintained quiet park 15 minutes' drive from stunning beaches
  • Spectacular views of Carmarthen Bay and the Gower peninsula
  • Bar, wifi, activity play area and 14 acres of space
Pitch up in Pembrokeshire at Pantglas Farm Caravan Park, for peaceful holidays so close to the coast that spectacular views of Carmarthen Bay and the Gower peninsula can be seen right from the site. The farm – and this part of Pembrokeshire – is a top spot for small adventurers: Oakwood Theme Park, Folly Farm and the Blue Lagoon Water Park are all within 20 minutes’ drive and a big activity area is set up on site. Acclaimed and award-winning Pembrokeshire beaches at Amroth, Saudersfoot and Tenby are 15 to 20 minutes’ drive away. Around the farm, kids have an activity play area with ground level trampoline, aerial slide, skateboard swing, whizzer, treehouse, slides, swings, springy rides and a seesaw to bounce and clamber around, as well as plenty of open grassy space for play around the 14-acre grounds. And for grownups? The licensed bar open on weekend evenings throughout the season and weeknights during school holidays has a pool table, gaming machines and large flatscreen TVs in both rooms. Essentials are equally well covered (no, the kids won’t care), with two clean and modern toilet and shower blocks, one of which is centrally heated early and late season; a wetroom for disabled guests and young families, and a launderette with metered washing, drying and ironing facilities. Wifi’s available throughout the park; there’s Flogas for sale and ice pack freezing use and phone/gadget charging are free. And for dogs? They’re very welcome too: they must be kept on leads while on the park but there's a spacious grassy area for walks off lead. The closest place for eats out is the pub in local village Tavernspite half a mile away; for stocking up, Amroth is 10 minutes’ drive away.

Route directions

From St Clears roundabout take the A477 to Tenby, turn left at the Tavernspite turn off, and take another left at the Sporting chance pub. Take the B4315 into Tavernspite, take the middle road at the village pumps and Pantglas Farm is 600 metres on the left. Do not use satnav from St Clears - this will take you to many different places.

Local attractions

Theme parks first? Take the crew to Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo six miles away for indoor and outdoor play areas, an indoor funfair and a zoo that’s home to over 200 animals, and Oakwood Theme Park seven and a half miles from the farm to swoop up and down on the thrill rides and rollercoaster. The Blue Lagoon Water Park (20 minute) is a top option for rainy days as its pools and slides are indoors – and there’s a spa for serene submerges too. The park and Oakwood’s local town of Narberth is a good option for a day out too, at the Narberth Museum, several art galleries and browsing around the antique and independent shops. Coarse fishing is available a mile from Pantglas and plenty more fishing facilities are in the surrounding area: ask the friendly farm team for details.
