  • Sea-view site with spectacular sunsets 10 minutes' drive from New Quay
  • Aberaeron two miles away; walk to the Ceredigion Coast Path
  • Dogs and kids welcome; small, friendly and family-run location
Sea views, stunning sunsets, stacks of space and a splendidly relaxed vibe… what more could you want from a Ceredigion campsite? (If the answer’s ‘somewhere we can take the dogs and kids’, then you’ll be pleased to hear they’re both most welcome here.) Garth View is a place that’s got all of the above – this small family-run site looks out over a lovely valley with the sea in the distance, and it prides itself on offering a warm Welsh welcome to its guests. It’s a no-fuss setup here, favouring simple pleasures over lots of facilities, but it's possible to hire firepits and freeze ice packs and you'll have access to a converted container that houses two bathrooms (including hot-water showers, sinks and toilets), as well as two single toilets and separate washing area. The location here is a real winner too: Garth View is easily accessed from the A487, and it’s within walking distance of the Ceredigion Coast Path. The harbour town of Aberaeron, only two miles away, has plenty of places to eat. A 200-year-old pub which is dog-friendly and serves homecooked food is a 10-minute walk away too. The Moody Calf Play Barn, a venue with a play barn, farm shop, bistro, trampoline, foam pit and events venue is a 20-minute walk away. If you'd rather self cater, a couple of convenience stores are about five minutes’ walk away. The local launderette is a 10-minute walk away. Lots of the best-loved spots along the West Wales coast are within easy reach for days out: it’s a 10-minute drive to New Quay for wildlife-spotting boat trips or half an hour to Cardigan, a hub for watersports and other outdoorsy activities. The beaches of Llangrannog and Tresaith are about 20 minutes away, or you can venture a little further to Aberporth (25 minutes) or Mwnt (35 minutes). For a bigger town, head north to Aberystwyth in just over half an hour.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Stayed for 2 nights, on a non electric pitch. Very friendly welcome from Mr Price who happily gave us local information and directions to the coastal path. Facilities were great, lovely grassy field, spacious pitch, spotless showers and toilets. Also fire pits to rent with fuel, loved that. Stunning views and sunsets. We walked to Aberaeron via the coastal path, lovely walk, took just over an hour. We also visited the local pub, The Red Lion, 10 minutes walk away. All in all really enjoyed and would definitely return and recommend.

Disliked Nothing.

Ben (Mr Price) has recently been helping on site, and it’s lovely to hear his support made a positive difference to your visit.
It’s great to know you found the grassy field, spacious pitch and spotless facilities just right, and that you enjoyed the fire pits, sunsets and views during your stay .
I’m delighted you had chance to explore Aberaeron on the coastal path and visit The Red Lion nearby — both lovely walks from the site.
Thank you again for your kind words. Hope to see you again.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked What a great place! Views of the sunsets are magical and the moon! Red Kites flying all around. So close to Aberaeron and not far to New Quay. Amenities were well thought out. Very clean too. We would definitely stay again.

Disliked Turning into site is on a bend so need to take care leaving but that's no fault of the owners just something to be prepared for that's all.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re delighted you enjoyed the magical sunsets, moonlit views and watching the Red Kites overhead. It’s great to hear you found the amenities well thought out and very clean, and that our location worked perfectly for Aberaeron and New Quay. We’d be very happy to welcome you back again.
Thank you also for highlighting the entrance. As you mentioned, it is situated near a bend, so guests should be aware of this when arriving and leaving. Your comment is genuinely helpful for future visitors, and we appreciate you noting it. Thank you so much, we hope to see you again, Kind regards Giovanna
