  • Well-kept adults-only caravan park a mile from the village of Doune
  • A 10-minute drive from Stirling/the edge of Loch Lomond National Park
  • Well-behaved dogs welcome; heated toilet and shower block
Ashmill Caravan Park is an attractive spot set in the spectacular Stirlingshire countryside. With plenty of space, level, well-kept grass and well-marked pitches, this adults-only site is a mile from the village of Doune and its castle, surrounded by lots of great local amenities and pleasant walks along the river Teith. On-site facilities here include a clean and modern toilet block, which is fully accessible and benefits from heating to keep you toasty in the chillier months (handy indeed, as this camping and caravan park is open all year round). Well-behaved dogs (on leads, please) are welcome to come and join you. Another big plus of Ashmill Caravan Park is how close it is to Blair Drummond Safari Park, one of the best zoos in Scotland, which is easily accessible either on foot or by road. There's a wealth of other things to see and do nearby too, including Stirling Castle (10 minutes' drive) and the eastern edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park (also 10 minutes). Close proximity to the motorway network means that both Glasgow and Edinburgh can be reached within an hour.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Nice site with grassy areas to sit out if you wished to. Clean toilets and a warm welcome from owners. Quite busy with a few who seem to regularly visit.

Disliked: Not much room for car and van, with having to park right up close to the van. Could park on grass, but that would spoil the grass. Next to main road with motorcycles revving up making a hell of a noise late at night was disturbing, however site owners cant do much about them idiots? Police could though!
