Clean, friendly, love the chickens, relaxing. Great facilities to hand. Owners are very approachable. We stayed in the tent and despite cold spells during night a few heaters we didn’t feel it. Great little play park for the bairn too.

    Disliked:

Traffic noise. You are on a busy road. So I’m afraid no peace and quiet

Everything, facilities are spotless, toilets are so warm at night, staff are v friendly and welcoming, the pitches are perfect with everything easily accessible. We watch a movie using the sites free Wi-fi late one night with no roaming what-so-ever which was fab as I find it difficult to sleep sometimes. The on site chickens are so friendly and we made fast friends.... our dogs seamed a little confused as to what they were 😂 . There is so much history near by and a short distance drive that you just can’t see it all in one trip so we’ve booked again for June 🤗🤗🤗.

Local attractions

Wander along the River Teviot, go nature spotting, or hire a bike from the Riverside team for Borders days close to the park; much more of the outdoorsy same is at spectacular Kielder Forest over the border in Northumberland 45 minutes' drive south.

Scottish Borders town days are plentiful around here too, with Hawick under 10 minutes' drive from the park, Jedburgh 15 and Kelso 20. Half an hour away, Selkirk is where William Wallace was famously declared guardian of Scotland; three miles from there, have an afternoon at Bowhill House for more woodland walks and dramatic antics from its on-site theatre.

Swimming pools and a soft play centre are at Teviotdale Leisure Centre, five minutes' drive away.
