Was warmly greeted on arrival by the owner. Booking in was quick and simple. Was shown a map of the campsite and where to pitch.
Toilet block and showers were clean. Launderette had plenty of washers and dryers. Area for washing up was good.
Tent area was flat and clean. Loved the fact that the bollards that provided power also had a tap for water, so there was no constant walking to a central location to collect water for the kettle.
Wifi was excellent - when I ran out of books to read I was able to watch a few things on the mobile.
Good location from Hawick, the nearby town, so you can pick up any thing you need. Hawick is worth visiting as there are some lovely buildings and cafe's.

    Disliked:

There is nothing I dislike about the campsite. I will be returning at the end of May 2020

Local attractions

Wander along the River Teviot, go nature spotting, or hire a bike from the Riverside team for Borders days close to the park; much more of the outdoorsy same is at spectacular Kielder Forest over the border in Northumberland 45 minutes' drive south.

Scottish Borders town days are plentiful around here too, with Hawick under 10 minutes' drive from the park, Jedburgh 15 and Kelso 20. Half an hour away, Selkirk is where William Wallace was famously declared guardian of Scotland; three miles from there, have an afternoon at Bowhill House for more woodland walks and dramatic antics from its on-site theatre.

Swimming pools and a soft play centre are at Teviotdale Leisure Centre, five minutes' drive away.
