What customers say
This peaceful, spacious campsite is set in a beautiful woodland location, offering direct access to forest walks. Reviewers praised the friendly and helpful warden, Ellie, and the well-maintained basic facilities, including clean toilets and washing-up areas with plenty of hot water. While some noted the lack of showers, the site's tranquil atmosphere and natural setting were highly appreciated. The remote location, cash-only payment policy, and midges were mentioned as potential drawbacks.

Excellent site, happy with out site
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Spacious plot. Great location for a quiet camping getaway. Info all in email on plot number, rules etc.
Disliked If we stayed longer, a shower would be great, but as we stayed just one night it wasn’t a necessity

Peaceful out of the way basic forest campsite.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Peaceful forest setting, lots of birds singing, clean basic amenities block and helpful warden. Spacious electric hookup pitches set on the outer perimeter of the small campsite, and walks directly from the door.
Disliked We knew before we booked and were happy to stay, but the only thing we would have preferred was showers in the amenity block. If you value peace though it’s a small price to pay.

Excellent site with flat pitches and friendly staff
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Plenty of room, nice flat pitches and picnic tables with BBQ plates fitted. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of woodland walks right on the doorstep. Very quiet and peaceful unless to pitch near the river.
Disliked Lack of shower facilities is a bit if a let down but there are facilities to have a good wash.

Lovely area, very relaxing atmosphere at the site. We will be back.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Peaceful, quiet, on the edge of a great forest for walks, and access to a quiet road for cycling. Ellie, the warden, was lovely. Great for dogs. There is 4G but no WiFi which was enough for us.
Disliked Although we have a campervan with a shower unit, it would have been good to have hot water in the bathrooms for washing. There are no showers but the units are designed to stand in like a shower for a wash from taps. However the water was too cold for that!
