Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked The aberfeldy distillery is 5 minutes walk , pitches are mostly level.

Disliked The staff are non helpful and do not leave the office , the water is not hot anywhere , the showers or dish washing , the electric hook up is an app you have to download from a 3rd party supplier that charges you a % for breathing nr it, and as soon as it's below a £1 it cuts you off and leaves you without a fridge or freezer until your back to top up, complete rip off , basically it's a seasonal site with a few overnight pitches for tents on the way up or down the A9 , we felt like we wasn't really wanted , we decided on this site because it's called "Aberfeldy" and on pitch up the photos make you believe your going to get a nice by the river pitch or even a nice pitch with a view NOT , you get a few slabs or a bit of grass besides the back of a grotty warehouse under trees looking into tents, all in all a very expensive site with absolutely nothing to do, with the added electric per day , we've seen cheaper and better sites within 5 miles, you live and learn.

Generally good officials very friendly and helpful.

Liked Clean, tidy, well organised with solid facilities. Pitches well marked with picnic table on perfectly fault slightly soft sandy ground making great camping. Good supplies available and extremely close to the centre of town with excellent groceries and eateries. Right next to a wonderful river. Shower block functional with piping hot water.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked Really friendly helpful staff, nothing is a bother. The campsite is stunning with beautiful views and an amazing river. Lots of birds and ducks which is lovely to wake up to in the morning. Great campsite for all ages and dogs. Very close to the town which has good restaurants, pubs and shops. Also there is a Farmers Market on the first Sunday of the month which has a lot of unusual goods on offer. Plenty of showers and toilets available which are very clean.

Disliked Nothing

Local attractions

The historic Dewar’s World of Whisky distillery is within handy walking distance from the site for tipples, tours and your fill of liquor heritage. The vibrant highland town of Aberfeldy, for shoppers and lovers of all things organic, is a 10-minute walk away in one direction: get your caddy in tow if going here too, because in the other direction is a golf course within walking distance. If you're a hill walker, join the footpath along the River Tay straight from the site which leads to an array of walking challenges; from a stroll (via a pub, naturally) or a hike up some of the landscape’s more demanding routes: the view at the end (and all the way along, in fact) will be well worth it… Cyclists and mountain bikers have a fair bit of varying terrain to try out in the area, from the old railway path along the Rob Roy Way linking Aberfeldy and Grandtully gently taking in the sites of the area that inspired Robert Burns, to the steady climb of Castle Dow and other steeper tracks.
