This is a well-maintained and immaculately clean campsite with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Guests consistently praise the modern, spotless toilet and shower facilities, as well as spacious pitches. The site offers a convenient location for exploring Edinburgh, with good transport links. Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Really friendly welcome and probably the best bathroom facilities we have come across! Nice level, decent size pitches and a good stop off location for us on our travels north. A great site.

Disliked I've had to mark it down a couple of stars simply because of the sleep quality. I'm a bit of a light sleeper and our pitch was next to a road where HGVs started travelling past at 5am. Coupled with the aircraft taking off every 5 minutes, it was not a great night for me. Such a shame as a lovely site, and perfect if you're a better sleeper!!

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Loved how peaceful it was. The layout of the site was great. Toilets were spotless. Loved the wild rabbits running about the site.

Disliked Only thing was i felt the pitch could be slightly bigger as when parking our car beside the caravan it was tight space but to be honest it's probably cos our car is big in size.

Local attractions

Linwater Caravan Park's locale means you're well set for both countryside and city days, or to break up a journey on your way north or south. Around the area, a mile away in a disused quarry is the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, with the biggest indoor climbing wall in the world (well worth tackling for the boasting rights gained for afterwards, one might suggest). The towpath walks of the Union Canal are nearby and the shows and exhibitions of the Royal Highland Showground are within four miles. You can also easily drive to the Kelpies, the biggest horsey structures on the planet, and to the Falkirk Wheel, the boat lift connecting the Union and the Forth and Clyde canals.
