  • Peaceful spacious site 15 minutes' drive from Glasgow city centre
  • Loch Lomond and the Trossachs within 45 minutes’ drive
  • Five minutes' walk from spotting deer at Frankfield Loch
Park up for your hols at Red Deer Village Holiday Park, a family-friendly site less than five minutes’ drive from the small Lanarkshire town of Stepps and within easy reach of Glasgow city centre. This is a top spot for a city break with the peace of a countryside retreat: those who crave urban explores will be well-served by Glasgow – a 15-minute drive or a 25-minute train ride from base – for strolls through botanic gardens, sups at distilleries, culture at museums and galleries, and splendid shopping. For those more in need of a rural getaway, there’s plenty round here to satisfy too: the Frankfield Loch wildlife sanctuary is a five-minute walk away for wanders among wild deer, and a 20-minute walk along paths from the site will bring intrepid adventurers to Cardowan Moss woodland, where there’s a network of trails to follow on foot or by bike. Don’t spend too long away from site the though – settle in for quiet evenings away from crowds and chaos with some self-catered evenings by the barbecue (buy gas on site), piling on food picked up from the well-stocked shop nearby. Otherwise, Stepps has a handy pub, café and restaurant within 15 minutes' walk of the site. Clean up after dinner by dispatching humans to the always-hot showers, and sort dishes (and stained clothes from sloppy eaters) at the dishwashing facilities and launderette.

What customers say

This is a clean, well-maintained site with friendly staff, offering a great location for visiting Glasgow via a short train ride. Pitches are spacious and the grounds are tidy. Some guests experienced issues with WiFi connectivity and the cost of electricity. Shower temperature and water pressure were also noted as areas for improvement by a few visitors, though these have since been addressed. The site is generally quiet and secure, though access is through a developing area.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Retourtje Edinburgh is 16 Pond

Disliked Weinig wandelingen in de buurt.
Zeer hete douches (persoonlijk)

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, David. We are pleased that you found out site tidy & well maintained.

Your feedback about the serviced pitches has been noted – we aim to be as clear as possible about what is included, but we appreciate that expectations can differ.

Regarding the signage, these are in place to ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests, though we’re sorry if they came across as restrictive. We will take this on board as we look at how we present site information.

We also appreciate your comments about access to the site. While the surrounding area is still being developed, we hope guests will continue to benefit from the peaceful setting and nearby walks.

Thank you again for your feedback – it helps us identify areas where we can improve, and we do hope to welcome you back in the future.
