Park up for your hols at Red Deer Village Holiday Park, a family-friendly site less than five minutes’ drive from the small Lanarkshire town of Stepps and within easy reach of Glasgow city centre. This is a top spot for a city break with the peace of a countryside retreat: those who crave urban explores will be well-served by Glasgow – a 15-minute drive or a 25-minute train ride from base – for strolls through botanic gardens, sups at distilleries, culture at museums and galleries, and splendid shopping. For those more in need of a rural getaway, there’s plenty round here to satisfy too: the Frankfield Loch wildlife sanctuary is a five-minute walk away for wanders among wild deer, and a 20-minute walk along paths from the site will bring intrepid adventurers to Cardowan Moss woodland, where there’s a network of trails to follow on foot or by bike. Don’t spend too long away from site the though – settle in for quiet evenings away from crowds and chaos with some self-catered evenings by the barbecue (buy gas on site), piling on food picked up from the well-stocked shop nearby. Otherwise, Stepps has a handy pub, café and restaurant within 15 minutes' walk of the site. Clean up after dinner by dispatching humans to the always-hot showers, and sort dishes (and stained clothes from sloppy eaters) at the dishwashing facilities and launderette.

Liked All fine, very neatly kept site and nice clean toilets Wi-Fi worked well.
And location great to walk to station to get into Glasgow city centre

Would be nice in summer rather than middle October when we stayed.

Disliked Pitch Was expensive more than I would normally expect and i think charging £1.50 for a miniature poodle is atrocious and the charge isn’t per booking but each night!

Liked Een prima camping , de camper stond vlak op het grind , aansluitend gras. sanitair was schoon en goed verzorgd. De camping leent zich bij uitstek voor een bezoek aan Glasgow. 10-15 min. Lopen naar de trein, en in 15. Min zit je in hartje Glasgow . Waar wij met de hop of bus alle bezienswaardigheden konden zien en museums bezochten.

Disliked Het was fijn geweest wanneer er ook speeltoestellen stonden voor kinderen.

Liked Beautiful clean site, well maintained. The site is in a very quiet area,showers / toilets are very clean, plenty of rubbish bins, fresh water and also electric hookups if you need ( at a extra cost), the to signal is not the best. Train station to Glasgow about a 10 minute walk

Liked The pitch location, reasonably close to town, nice area.

Disliked The shower operation. It is a push button affair like you usually find on handbasins, every 10 or15 seconds the water stops. You have to constantly depress the stupid thing. Ironically the handbasins had regular taps on them.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 28 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
