Non-electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Beautiful scenic location and a very peaceful site. Good sized pitches with gravel which was a blessing after the Easter weekend rain. Although there aren’t any showers or toilets onsite, the other facilities were well maintained.
A short walk from the site takes you to a small village with amenities and the waterfalls are well worth a visit.
We really enjoyed our stay.

Non-electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Secluded and clean campsite.
Was very quiet and peaceful
Was easy to find and easy to access.

Disliked Not able to speak to anyone on arrival apart from calling owners on their mobile, but this could just have been because we arrived midafternoon.
Although we did not use it, the black waste seemed quite difficult.

What customers say

This campsite is praised for its superb, peaceful location set within beautiful countryside, offering stunning views and excellent walking opportunities directly from the site. Pitches are well-planned, secluded, and clean, with friendly and accommodating hosts. While the absence of on-site toilet and shower facilities is noted, many reviewers appreciate the value and were aware of this prior to booking. Plans to install these facilities are mentioned for the future.

Liked A very good stop-over site for visiting Loch Ness. Peaceful, clean and spacious with friendly staff.

Great base for walking even if it's just to see the River Moriston Falls or the scenic Glenmoriston glen.

Non-electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked What a little gem of a find. Perfect for unwinding on the way round Scotland. Lovely walks right from the campsite, pub few mins walk away, waterfalls and the bus takes you into Fort Augustus in 15 mins. Booked 2 nights but stayed 3 as we loved it so much. Owner is so lovely & kind thank you .

Disliked Nothing it’s perfect for motorhomes if you are self sufficient.

Local attractions

If you’re keen to get a glimpse of Nessie, stroll down to Loch Ness along the River Moriston (20 minutes’ walk); you’ll pass waterfalls and a stone bridge reportedly built by Thomas Telford along the way. If the elusive monster doesn’t put in an appearance, you can learn more about him in interactive exhibitions at The Loch Ness Centre (25 minutes’ drive). Head for Fort Augustus (10 minutes) at the southern end of the loch for scenic cruises over the waters, and linger awhile in this pretty town bisected by the Caledonian Canal. There are waterside walks along a section of the Great Glen Way and a choice of shops selling tartan souvenirs. Tour the rugged ruins of Urquhart Castle (20 minutes), standing above the loch and site of much former fighting between the Scots and the English, or pay your respects to the dead at Culloden Battlefield (an hour). If history’s not for you, take the binoculars and see if you can spot dolphins in the Moray Firth (around an hour); they come inshore to feed on the tide.
