Liked It's dog friendly, quiet, and peaceful. The owner is so lovely, the facilities are fantastic (love that there's a microwave and toaster and kettle), and the location is beautiful. There is signal and it's within an hours drive to Ben Hope. Would definitely recommend

Not woody Woodside !!
Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Toilets looked new
Disliked Storm was forecast and no shelter just electric on a hilly field . No doubt on a sunny day it is nice with views but when you've seen the views up north you just need some sleep. Sorry but just feel Woodside would have had some shelter . £30 is felt a bit steep for a field when we decided to pull in and park somewhere sheltered for free sorry just my opinion .

From the manager: We are very sorry that you were so disappointed by our campsite you thought it a 1/10.
We are actually called Woodend, not Woodside, and when the site first opened in 1978 it was at the 'Woodend'. I would have thought that from the many photos of our site both on here and on Facebook, google etc you should have realised exactly what you were coming to. Thank fully the 'storm' didn't come to much here but most places in the north of Scotland are windy.
A lot of our visitors tell us that they have enjoyed some wonderful night's sleep here as it is so peaceful.
£30 is a pretty average cost for a pitch with electric, if you had come to tell us you were concerned about shelter, we could have guided you to a more sheltered spot or discussed a refund if you wanted to leave. we are disappointed you have left us such a poor review for dislikes that are completely out with our control.
Great camp site

Liked Gorgeous wee site. Well not so wee actually. Find your own space style (when not on EHU) with gorgeous views all around. Field left unmowed so surrounded by buttercups so it’s like you’re in a meadow. Owner is a lovely helpful guy. Showers and toilets spotless and a nice campers kitchen with a microwave, kettle and toaster!!!!
Oh and my request for sunshine and no midges were met the morning after we arrived so there’s service for you 😉
Worth noting bird watchers will like this too. My Merlin app picked up a few unusual (to me) bird calls including an osprey 🦅
Disliked Nothing. Was one of the best we’ve stayed on
