Woodend Caravan and Camping Park

Me gustó: Everything....lovely relaxed site with a park where you like attitude. Lovely clean shower block and toilets. Nice kitchen area. Lovely welcome from very friendly owners. So quiet at night you could hear a mouse parp! Loved it!

Me gustó: We liked how quiet and peaceful this place is. The owner is really friendly and gave lots of recommendations. The facilities seem brand-new and sparkly clean and the “unlimited” pitch size is perfect for any stopovers or using the camping as a home base for a few days (we did the latter). The space is dog friendly, too. Sometimes the sheep escape into the camping (they don’t come close to guests though!) and our Australian Shepherd enjoyed herding them back ;-) Everyone in the local community is very friendly and welcoming.

Me gustó: Stunning scenery! Dog friendly Clean, well maintained toilets/showers Peaceful Lovely owners Quiet Good kitchen facilities This place has made me love camping, I don't know if other places will be able to match up. I didn't want to leave!

Me gustó: The facilities were lovely and clean, and the kitchen area was great for washing our dishes, I haven't stayed many places with an indoor washing up area. The site was very peaceful (bar a handful of noisy sheep haha). We chose a pitch near the top of the field which made for a windy night on our last night but there isn't much you can do about the weather. On arrival we were greeted by a very lovely lady who happily chatted away to us and gave us information about the area.

Me gustó: Really friendly. Excellent facilities. Beautiful views then it’s good weather. The showers looked amazing. Everything was clean. Washer and dryer. Kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge. I was really looking forward to staying here

No me gustó: The rain and wind!! Don’t end up staying cause it was horrendous weather. Shame because the facilities were really really good. Have marked child friendly low because I don’t know, I had a teenager with me that didn’t want to pitch up in the rain and wind. Don’t know if there was WiFi, didn’t stay long enough

Me gustó: Camped at Woodend between 03-06 in my campervan, towing two motorcycles, to use the location as a base to complete the NC500 route. The staff were welcoming, friendly and informative. The price was an absolute bargain for the location and facility. The location is local to a shop & chip shop as well as strategic routes to any corner of the NC500 The site facility itself as absolutely outstanding, the toilet facilities are brand new, very clean, private and the shower is better than your shower at home I can guarantee! There is also an amenity where you can use a kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge. Absolute gem of a location and I would highly recommend.

Me gustó: Lovely friendly green farm site with some level tent pitches ,nice Hot showers with foldaway glass doors and very clean facilities.Also a room out of the weather with a bench to sit at,microwave kettle and fridge .Getting washing machine and dryer installed

No me gustó: Tiny cubicle to get dried once out of shower,impossible if you were a big person,need to open door .Absolutely No plug points for campers to recharge devices,everything wired into the wall ,very unexpected and a first for us after 3months camping in Europe and Uk . Not able to cook in the ‘kitchen’..which if you are camping in a tent is an important function in cold wet weather .no wifi but planned

Me gustó: Great Facilities in a beautiful spot. Plenty of room in an un regimented site. Wonderful views over Loch Shin. No Wifi but a good signal for mobiles phones.

No me gustó: My wife's only gripe was that there was no where to plug in a hairdryer in the washrooms. A minor inconvenience.
