    Scenery and location is amazing

    Disliked:

When we arrived our bbq was full of litter and clearly hadn’t been emptied or cleaned. When asking the site warden about this they were very unhelpful and could only offer someone to clean the following day (even though we arrived around an hour after the permitted earliest check in time. No Cover on the hot tub and not until we asked did they say we could refill the hot tub for free if the water got dirty as it was uncovered. However went through double the amount of logs to keep warm as obviously heat escaped. You only get provided with about a days worth of logs for a 3 day minimum stay. only one lantern of the supposed supplied two was in the pod and with zero battery only to realise this as it was starting to get dark.

Not enough information regarding wood for heating hot tubs. At least 4 bags needed. This should be stated somewhere when booking ,as check in is 4 pm ( the same time reception closes) there is no place to get extra wood on first night.

The site was very clean and well presented. The location was perfect, we loved being right on the coast and coastal walk. The lodge was gorgeous and really well presented, it was great having the decked area to sit out on a morning with a cup of tea and look at the view. Hot tub was a great addition too.

    Disliked:

A few things we felt were missing from the lodge that would have just made the experience even better; hooks near the hot tub to hang towels/robes up, a mat by the bedroom door to wipe feet when coming in from the hot tub, an iron as our clothes were crumpled from travelling, tea/coffee/sugar provided and some more info for local area e.g places to eat/visit. Only small things but would have made a big difference.

    The lantern

    Disliked:

Everything. Nothing was as expected. We were plunged into the dark ages with no electricity, a led lantern for light, the fire fills the whole place with smoke absolutely no good for young children . The outdoor play park was literally s couple bits of wood with a chute . We left 30 mins after arriving. I don't doubt that the lodges are probably a much better stay but I would not recommend the "eco dome" unless you are happy to stay in a cold smoked out tent with a couple teenagers doing the no pants dance next door for all to hear. Massive thumbs down . I asked for a refund and still after a week have had no reply for sauchopes park . Pitch up however have been helpful and are s great site to book through.
