Lovely camp site but with some issues.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Lovely area with nice site and layout.
Staff i met were very friendly.
Great loos.
Disliked Too many barking dogs with some owners not even bothering to quiten them. Some off lead. Showers were filthy mid morning. It was summer holidays and busy so probably not an issue outside this time.

Great campsite in a most beautiful part of the world. Great showers!
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Loved the cleanliness and the size of the pitches. Clear instructions from the staff and the general feel. Loved that the ice cream van visited at 6pm!
Showers were great too and lovely walks from the campsite. A great place to stay if your mountain biking with a family in the 7 Stanes as there are trails into Dalbeattie Forest from Rockcliffe.
Disliked My only real gripe, and this is nit picking, so maybe could knock half a start off for each was that the electric hook up lantern near us was very bright (not all night though) and that there seemed that there was a food scraps bin intended in the scullery, though it wasn't there. Not great if you bike-packing or travelling light and have no waste bags. That's probably a reminder to me to pack some very thin light waste bags.

What customers say
This is a highly recommended, clean, and well-maintained campsite boasting exceptional views and a peaceful atmosphere. Visitors praise the friendly and helpful staff, spacious pitches, and excellent facilities, including spotless toilets and powerful, hot showers. The location offers fantastic coastal walks and proximity to beaches, making it ideal for dog owners and families. While most experiences are overwhelmingly positive, a few minor points were raised regarding pitch levelling on the upper fields and occasional issues with Wi-Fi.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch
Liked Absolutely stunning site! Upon arrival, the views are incredible. Our greeting was very welcoming and was even met with one of the site cats. Site is very well kept and clean. The walks from the site are something else, our two dogs loved it, as did we. Site is quiet and everyone very friendly.
Showers are welcomed plus, really powerful and hot water in abundance, nice and clean and also mop and buckets left to give a once over when you’re finished. Wish more sites did this. All in all, this is one of the nicest sites we’ve been to and we’ve done 30 plus now all around the uk and this one wins hands down. The walks really did top it off, straight offsite and which ever you walk you’d not be disappointed. Think it’s clear, we’d be back. Thank you for the amazing stay.
Disliked Nothing.
