What customers say
This site offers friendly and helpful staff, with a pleasant park and lovely walks around the lake. Guests appreciate the good value and proximity to Moffat. However, current renovations mean temporary toilet and shower facilities, which some found inadequate or poorly maintained, leading to cleanliness issues. Pitches can be sloped, and some guests experienced problems with electric hook-ups or noted a general lack of upkeep in certain areas. The site has potential with ongoing improvements.

Liked Quiet and very clean campsite. Bar on site which is handy!
Disliked The play park needs a few more things in it. A few kids had to wait at the side until other kids had finished before having a go

Disliked Your on a hill, The toilets and showers are in portacabins and didn't get cleaned in the 2 days we were there, maybe cleaners don't work weekends not sure but we didn't shower until we got home and used our caravan toilet also the bin in the bin shed was overflowing and rubbish sat all around the ground but that's because people didn't see the other bins round the corner, signs would've prevented that

Liked Nice & quiet site, great for the kids. We had a nice pleasant stay
Disliked Grass pitches are very uneven and on a hill not the greatest but it was okay.
The toilet were ok at times, if people cleaned up after them selfs it wouldn’t be so bad, I wouldn’t say it was the parks fault.

Tickets need checked more regularly. Bit messy and no loo roll.. Discovered the EHU was not working till day too. Slightly annoying.

Electric grass pitch
Liked The site has it's own lake and is a very peaceful walk around it , the staff are very friendly. And the bar is a nice little place to have a drink. The site it self is quite hilly though.
Disliked They are revamping the shower, toilet block, so they have got a porta cabin which is ok apart from it's not being serviced regularly. So a lot of times it is out of toilet paper and generally in a mess , not pleasant at all.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The staff, the site generally and the location. Good sized pitch well maintained. Lakeside pub friendly and reasonably priced.
Disliked The porta cabin showers and toilets were clean but I can't imagine them being adequate when it's busy. Only one washing up sink.

Liked Great wee base to explore the sorrounding areas
Disliked Toilet block was shut so had a portacabin which wasn’t ideal but understandable so would like to see the toilet block fixed asap also could be doing with some of the pitches being levelled out as on quite a slope especially when youv got a big caravan like I have
