I liked very little to be honest. The entrance looks good and it's a nice area of the country.

    Disliked:

We arrived on 17/11/17. We called ahead as it would be around 5pm before we arrived. We were told that was fine and to just find somewhere around the shower block.

Well, after getting the car bogged on the grass, we managed to get the caravan sited on the driest area of the grass, which was still very muddy. It is understandable that the weather can't be helped, but there wasn't even a mention of how badly water logged the touring area was when I called ahead.

We got set up and went to use the toilet facilities, I'll get to that in a minute. The toilets are very cold, as was the shower area, not a radiator to be seen anywhere. The push button hot water taps have the button missing from the top, so it is just a brass rod poking out from the tap.

The facilities as a whole are a serious health and safety risk. There is one light above the entrance to the gents and one light above the entrance to the ladies toilets/showers. There is no lighting at the fresh water point, the dish washing facilities, the refuse bin area and the waste disposal point. There is various steps and areas of raised concrete around the shower/toilet block with no lighting, this is a serious risk to safety.

As described there was a restaurant and bar on site which were closed, again no mention during my earlier phone call.

We got up in the morning and decided to ask for our money back and move on. The lady in the reception was very understanding when I raised the concerns over the facilities and didn't try to counter argue.

I was refunded the remainder of my stay, but not the Friday night which I found a little poor.

This site may be better in peak season, but I doubt it as the July reviews are very similar

I would strongly advise anyone considering this site to drive five minutes into Moffat and use the caravan club site, which is closer to any amenities.

Ease of access and more or less any choice of pitch as we arrived at a quiet time of year. Very helpful and friendly reception.

    Disliked:

Very disappointed that the advertised 'bistro' was not open as advertised for food (only drinks) as we chose this site specifically to avoid taxis etc just to get some dinner. All grass pitches were boggy and very wet and on a slope and not really suitable for any vehicle or caravan, ended up with mud everywhere. Facilities basic and freezing but clean enough. Had the price been a little lower for the time of year it would have been fairplay - we paid upfront premium for very basic services.

We wanted to go fishing but was told the lake was not ready. This was why i booked this site. The toilets were a bit outdated needed some upgrading to the showers. But i can say they were cleaned every day.

This was an awesome stay at Moffat Manor Holiday Park. Everything was perfect. The price for the pitches were really cheap and we got so much for our money. A perfect pitch, clean facilities and so on. I would recommend this to everyone. Elder people, couples, families with children, friends,...

Told by a young lad to find a space anywhere . Tents and caravans mixed in together.
Toilet block worst I've seen ! Filthy! No handsoap dispensers falling off the walls! Floors in shower area stood in dirty water! Shower trays disgusting! Faeces walked over floor in gents! Waste water and toilet septic tank one thing which was so high it was difficult to lift containers up to and area filthy!
Price of pitch £27.50 a joke for the facilities and set up.
Left as early as possible and definitely not return. Spoilt the end of our holiday. Just glad it was only a one night stopover!

Bar/Restaurant with Sports channels was friendly, comfortable and modern with wifi. Didn't eat there but they had a decent range of your normal options, if a bit pricey. Good entertainment from the singer.
Site seemed reasonably well maintained and area for pitching tents okay - we found a fairly level spot without difficulty. Toilets large, close by and met basic needs.

We only stopped overnight but looks like there were a number of places to visit in the nearby area if staying longer. Town of Moffat a few minutes drive away with plenty of places to eat.

    Disliked:

Toilet/shower block perhaps a little tired and needed to be cleaned a little more frequently (bear in mind we arrived in the evening after a day of on and off rain so the site was wet/muddy not their fault).

A little lighting (solar maybe?) along the pathways would be useful when out and about after dark.

    Park and club room

    Disliked:

Toilets and shower blocks were absolutely disgusting. Some one had messed on floor on the Friday when we arrived and it still hadn't been cleaned up by the time we left on the Monday. In need of complete make over for toilet blocks. Most of the people we spoke to felt the same as we did about the toilets. Completely pulls the rest of the park down.
