  • Well-maintained park with superb views
  • Next to Powfoot Golf Course; four miles from Annan
  • Next to a beach nature reserve
Peaceful, quiet, relaxing and nature-filled breaks are the name of the game at Queensberry Bay Holiday Park, a fab holiday park on the shores of Scotland's Solway Firth. If pubs, clubs and loud entertainment are very much not your thing, you'll find all you need here at this top-end and popular park instead, including an excellent little campers' kitchen with first-class views across the bay. The park also has excellently maintained showers and toilets, and a small licensed shop selling essentials like chocolate and the (also very well-regarded) Queensberry bacon rolls. The Queensberry team is keen to point out that those looking for golden sands might be better off heading further west along the coast; the beach here, however, is a beaut nature reserve filled with grassy knolls and pools, and a breeding ground of the protected natterjack toad. It's just the spot for Spot and other dogs too as it's a perfect place for walking the pooch.

Sandside electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: The site was very organised and welcoming. The staff were friendly and the campsite is well equipped and has all you need to aide you on your journey.

We arrived just before 6pm and by the time we had set up our pitch we decided to grab some food in the bar area. Our dogs could eat in there with us and the reception staff gave us a discount voucher for a little money off two meals, which was a welcome gesture.

The toilets and showers are immaculate and all of the amenities to clean and cleanse your caravan/camper are situated together and easy to access.

Caroline S. The reviewer booked through Pitchup.com

Dunlin electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: The pitches were a good size and spaced apart , so didn’t feel on top of one another which is a real bonus as so many are crammed in, and the restaurant was lovely,

Disliked: The toilet facilities were excellent, but weren’t cleaned everyday so paper towels ran out and your bins needed emptied , your alcohol beverages in your restaurant were extremely expensive, we had a large white wine and lemonade and a pint of lager , which was £18 so put us off going back again

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your review Caroline! We're glad you enjoyed the spacious pitches and the lovely restaurant. We appreciate your feedback regarding the frequency of cleaning and the availability of paper towels, and we'll take this into consideration to improve our facilities. We also understand your concerns about pricing and will review this as we continue to enhance our offerings. Your insights are valuable, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future!
