  • Family park half a mile from Coldingham Sands beach and watersports
  • Within 5 minutes' drive of St Abbs and Eyemouth; an hour to Edinburgh
  • Kids' club, indoor golf, outdoor play, chippy, spa and bar and grill
Find your way to Scoutscroft Leisure Park for adventures at the seaside or the city: this well-placed park is an easy half a mile from spectacular and award-winning Coldingham Bay beach and just over an hour’s drive from the sights and shops of Edinburgh. There’s loads to do on site too (this is a firmly family-friendly park), including indoor miniature golf, a kids’ club, a snooker room and an outdoor play area. Food and drink is sorted for all tastes too at the fish and chip takeaway for quick bites (perhaps on the beach…?) and the Sands bar and grill for breakfasts, lunches, evening eats, snacks and a wide selection of bevvies ranging from soft drinks to cider. Drink up, then drink in the scenery: Scoutscroft is close to the Berwickshire coast and the Scottish Borders, handily placed for weekends away or longer hols exploring sandy beaches and nature reserves. To take the excitement up a notch, watersports including surfing, kayaking, diving and bodyboarding are easily sorted from the park; elsewhere, days out at local port town St Abbs and harbour town Eyemouth are within less than 10 minutes’ drive. These places are also where you can pick up provisions at supermarkets… or simply meander between the two on a coastal hike.

Liked Staff were brilliant. So friendly and helpful. Pods clean. Main complex was welcoming with lovely food. Great location to go visiting the local beaches and harbours. Staff helped with hot water issues in the shower block by offering a caravan to used for showers. Amazing and went above and beyond. I think we’d have left early if there was no shower option but thankfully we got to enjoy the full 5 day stay! We will def be back.
Onsite chip shop was tasty and very handy.

Disliked Toilet blocks really let the place down. They definitely could do with an upgrade. We had our own portable loo with us which was ideal. Shower wouldn’t heat up but after a chat at reception they sorted a solution- use of a caravan for the remainder of our stay for showers- fantastic and was a godsend! Thank you. Not sure what would happen during peak times where caravans are full.

Bar and food prices quick steep.

Beds a bit ‘springy’ so if you have a mattress topper or SIM, bring that for extra comfort.

From the manager: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear how friendly and helpful you found the team, and that the pods, food, location and onsite takeaway all added to an enjoyable stay. It’s especially pleasing to know our staff were able to find a practical solution to the shower issue so you could enjoy your full break. We appreciate your honest comments regarding the toilet blocks, pricing and bedding comfort, and these have all been noted for review.

Liked Not a bad pod, with a fridge and tv included. The site was nice and well maintained. The onsite takeaway was a bonus and I can recommend the haggis.

Disliked The mattresses and mattress covers have some mileage on them. The pods are very densely packed together compared to other sites I've been on, leaving little sense of privacy.

Liked The wigwam was exactly what we expected for the price. However the second day the heater kept malfunctioning. The park was nice and the entertainment staff were fantastic.

Disliked All toilet facilities were not cleaned at all within the whole weekend of our stay and were quite disgusting. The wigwams were very cramped together and the doors were actually facing each other. There needs to be rules in place regarding noise levels from guests. We were woken up frequently from noisy guests, including at 8am on the Sunday morning from people shouting loudly.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear the pod met your expectations for the price, and that you enjoyed the park and found our entertainment team fantastic. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with the heater, cleanliness of the toilet facilities, noise disturbance and lack of privacy between pods. Your comments have been noted and are appreciated, as they help highlight areas where improvements are needed.
