Local attractions
Eyemouth’s harbour is home to a busy fishing port and fishmarket, and is also regularly frequented by seals and swans. The town has eateries and shops, an art gallery, a museum and maritime centre, and trips out on glass-bottomed boats in the warmer months.
The park is well-placed for walkers and cyclists who want to explore the Berwickshire and Northumberland coastlines; this being Scotland, there are plenty of golf courses around too.
The walled border town of Berwick-on-Tweed is only 15 minutes away by car and has a good range of shops, plus a military barracks and museum, and a splendid railway viaduct. Venture a little south into Northumberland and you could visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne or Bamburgh Castle, both well worth the trip.
