Liked: On arrival a friendly greeting from proprietor Willy explaining the layout and facilities etc. The site is very spacious and on many pitches offers a great view of the surrounding countryside. Additionally , they are nearly all fully serviced making for a very relaxing visit. The site is also with shower and dishwashing facilities and many pitches are supplied with a picnic table/bench ideal to dine alfresco when the weather permits. There are nearby walks to explore by the river not far from the site. Touring in the locality offers visits to Dumfries House, a Duchy of King Charles offering a fantastic day out for families and admirers of fine architecture, gardens and scenery. And entrance to the grounds is free! Tours of the inside of the house are however chargeable. Nearby is the small town of Cumnock and of course Ayr if you fancy a stole on the beach. Overall, a great stay!

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked: Good fully serviced hardstanding gravel pitch (ours was level but others mostly slightly sloping). Large reception area which also has clean toilets, showers and a nice seating area with log burner. Wifi available in reception building but not on pitches. Laundry & wash up facilities available in a small hut to the side of the reception building. Nice walks down by the river Ayr and surrounding countryside.
Disliked: Quite close to the busy A76 with some traffic noise but not too disturbing.

Liked: The site was excellent. There was a lodge with a log burner and sofas. There was also dining tables to eat (used as a large group). Washing up area with washing machine. Showers (free) & wc in the hub as well. Phoned William on arrival. He took the balance payment & advised what sites were available.
