Loch lomond
Beach

  • Peaceful family park with loch and mountain views
  • Fishing, mini beach and private jetty
  • Communal lounge with TV and games, play area and family amenities
If you've ever seen Loch Lomond, you'll have spotted right away that it's one of the lushest and most peaceful places in all the land (and that surely is saying something). A holiday here at some stage is a must – and if you want quiet and safe surroundings, well-maintained pitches and a bit of angling action thrown in, settle yourself for a stay at Loch Lomond Holiday Park. The setting here is sublime, just off the A82 but right on the lochside, among spectacular greenery and with easy access to the site's private jetty and small sandy beach. It's near the hamlet of Inveruglas on the west shore of Loch Lomond, within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and about 13 miles from the Loch Lomond Park Centre. Quad biking, castles, boat cruises, sailing and kayaking are all easily available in under an hour. Among the well-kept facilities are a play area and a lounge with TV and games. You can also cast your line off around the site to see what fishy specimens can be landed. Also on site are clean and tidy toilet and shower blocks (with family facilities), a washing-up area and a launderette.

What customers say

A beautiful, well-maintained site with stunning Loch Lomond views. Pitches are spacious, level, and offer privacy. Staff are consistently praised for being friendly and helpful. Facilities are generally clean, though some guests noted them as basic or limited. Good access to the loch for watersports and dog-friendly areas. Some road and train noise reported, and a few guests found the touring facilities to be an afterthought compared to lodges.

From the manager: Thank you very much for your kind review! We're so glad you enjoyed our wonderful location, the friendly staff, and the individually separated pitches - we truly appreciate your positive feedback.
We also appreciate your comment about the limited number of showers near the pitches. Your input is valuable, and we’ll certainly take it into consideration as we look for ways to improve our facilities.
We hope to welcome you back again soon!
Kind regards,

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Our campervan is amazing! Pleased with our new awning although pitch was gravel with solid ground so impossible to put tent pegs in. We cooked a fabulous meal & our campervan bed is super comfortable. So all in all ..nothing to do with the campsite but my husband has made a fabulous camper.

Disliked 14 campervan pitches 1 shower! Campers are 2nd class citizens in this chalet driven business. Couldn't be further away from the Loch. Traffic noise & train was within metres. Would not recommend this souless place. I'd rather go wild camping than pay £100 for 2 nights staying in my own camper with very limited facilities. We provided our own comfort. We are self sufficient with solar power. So wondering what we actually got for our £100!

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The location is absolutely stunning! The site is directly on the banks of Loch Lomond and offers swimming and watersports. The views are incredible. All the touring pitches are fully serviced with EHU, fresh water and waste grid. The shower block is near to all the pitches and is clean and warm with lots of hot water.
The site is well lit at night time and there is a hand rail to the shower block as it can get slippery.

Disliked The site caters mainly for the lodges and static holiday homes. The staff in the reception were unhelpful. In the booklet it said to contact reception with any issues, in particular with the TV signal. We went to reception 3 times for help with our TV and were told they didn't know how to help and that we should ask other caaravan/motorhome guests on the site. Also we asked for information on a safe walking route to nearby Inverulgas. The receptionist told us to climb over a barrier on a dangerous road in order to get there, suggesting there was a path which there wasn't.
Although the shower block was clean and had plenty of hot water there were only 2 toilets and one shower in the ladies and 1 toilet and 1 shower in the gents, not enough for 14 pitches.
Although the area is stunning and the watersports on offer were excellent the touring pitches are in need of upgrading and would benefit from some grassed areas.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked There were 4 of us in camper van and awning, we stayed in pitch 6. The site was clean, well maintained, easy access to toilets and shower. Lovely walks around the site, it was a very relaxing stay for us all.
Graham had a split in the exhaust, he went to reception to ask for advice, Ben and Alan came to fix it with 2 bean cans haha, they were out life saviours. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Disliked There was nothing to dislike.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Staff helpful and friendly, facilities were very clean and serviced regularly.
Beautiful location. Cost of stay, was reasonable value for money.

Disliked Location of touring pitches very close to A82, a major thoroughfare with heavy traffic moving early in the morning along with the 6:40 train, taking commuters on their way too.
No grey waste for vehicle emptying. General waste bins not near pitch.
Limited number showers and toilets (although the ones that are there, was perfectly spotless).
I’m sorry if there is a vehicle grey waste, I just couldn’t find it.

Liked Clean tidy site with welcoming staff even though we arrived after office was closed they called before to let us know welcome pack was on the door and if any problems just phone. Beautiful location, we were only there for one night so didn't get the chance to make use of all the facilities unfortunately.

Liked The view & pitch quality

Disliked Sited next to main road, trains & lorry’s passing.

Local attractions

The loch – and beach – should keep you and the family/dog busy for a day or three after arriving at the park; after that, plenty more activities and attractions are easily had within driving distance. You could, for example, check out the views over Lochgoilhead (about 30 minutes’ drive west and much recommended), or get out onto the local waters with a Loch Lomond cruise or a guided canoe trip among the spectacular scenery of Loch Goil. Cycling, walking and fishing as well as shopping, restaurants and bars at Portavadie Marina 90 minutes' drive south-west; for more food, a famed and closer option in this area is the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar in Cairndow half an hour’s drive west, a place of acclaimed seafood and smashing views. Also at Cairndow, the Fyne Ales brewery is an environmentally-friendly venture set up in old farm buildings at Achadunan, with tours and a shop open to visitors. There's also the Ardkinglas estate, a 13th-century house with over 12,000 acres of hills and landscaped parkland (although do check its opening hours before you set off). Other options are Inveraray Castle, 40 minutes to the west; Inveraray Jail (with ghost hunting available) and Auchindrain Township Museum, just under an hour’s drive west.
