What customers say

This peaceful, well-spaced site boasts beautiful countryside views and friendly, helpful staff. Visitors frequently praise the cleanliness of facilities, though many note they are dated and in need of modernisation. Electric hook-ups are reliable, and the site is considered good value for money, making it a popular choice for its quiet atmosphere and convenient location.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We initally booked for one night but due to a change in personal circumstances thought we would stay an earlier night as well as this one. This was helpfully agreed via a brief email.
Getying to the site location was ok and the lady who we had to call out to check in was lovely and kind but she is not the owner.

Disliked Pretty much everything such that although we paid for 2 nights we didn't stay second night. The only info recieved was a long sheet on arrival about their 6amp supply which was also inaccurate in places in their calculations. If they are that concerned upgrade it as the static site is a mere few metres away! We are experienced motorhome owners with right appliances so had no issues. It felt like going to school. No other info on where things were, local attractions etc.
The toilets were as others have said were disgraceful. Missing seats and unkept- putting coloured loo blocks in does not do away with the lack of seats!

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Position, easy parking. Toilets kept very clean.
Loved Belle, super helpful from the moment I arrived.

Disliked First, got there and I had two bookings in my name. Second, no hot water anywhere… went to shower in the toilet block and water was freezing, offered a shower in the showtime and still no hot water so ended up boiling a kettle or two and having a nana wash! Third, only one toilet had a seat on it! One had a seat in the cubicle but not on the toilet!
I appreciate it was October and end of season, but it’s not like it was free or even cheap for an electric hook up at this time of year….Not really worth the 60 as I could have done the same kettle boiling exercise on a non electric pitch!

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Friendly staff Clean grounds quiet spot

Disliked Quite small pitches. Lucky there weren't many vans on site. A lot of do's and don't signage. Could do with an update on the shower facilities.

Local attractions

Those of you who rate cycling, walking and mountain biking highly might want to head to the landscapes around Aboyne (40 minutes’ drive). In the same direction, visit Balmoral Castle (an hour), the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Scottish residence. A trip to these two parts will take you through both Donside and Deeside. Keeping with the historical theme, Haddo House (35 minutes) frequently hosts theatrical productions from Prince Edward. However, if it’s castles you’re intent on finding first, perhaps a stroll around Castle Fraser (10 minutes), Drum Castle (25 minutes) or Corse Castle (half an hour)? In Aberdeen, there’s excitement in a few different forms. Historical places include The Gordon Highlanders Museum (25 minutes), the Girdle Ness Lighthouse (40 minutes) and Blairs Museum (25 minutes), while entertainment comes in the form of the Jump In Adventure Parks: Aberdeen (35 minutes) and the seafront amusements.
