  • Simple pitches on an organic dairy farm with rural views
  • On National Cycle Route 254; 15 minutes’ drive from the Cotswolds
  • Fresh eggs available to buy on site; footpaths around the farm
A wildlife haven, Park Farm Campsite is part of an organic dairy farm spread over 250 acres of peaceful Wiltshire countryside, 10 minutes’ drive from Royal Wootton Bassett. A stay here will give you a glimpse into farming life: around 120 cows are milked twice daily, and you’ll be able to see them going about their life in the neighbouring fields. Chickens live here too, and you can buy fresh eggs for a farm-style breakfast. There’s also a small honesty shop where you can pick up local jams, farm-made apple juice and other treats. Fresh takeaway pizzas are served most evenings. There’s only a handful of pitches at this site, so you should have plenty of space in which to unwind while looking out over the rural views (sunrises are particularly fine around here if you can haul yourselves out of bed in time). If you’d prefer to take in the scenery on the move, take a wander along the footpaths around the farm and out into the surrounding woods, or pedal off along National Cycle Route 254, which runs past the site. Looking a little further afield, it’s a drive of around 15 minutes to Malmesbury and the edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Facilities on site are pretty simple, with three compost loos, one urinal and two gas-heated showers. A covered hand basin and washing-up area are available too, and here you can also pick up some local info and maps. A local pub is three miles away if you fancy an evening out.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Absolutely charming site with lots of thoughtful touches. We stayed in our campervan and found a nice, level spot. Zoe came to say hello and couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Loads of space, lovely views and plenty of walks. A big sandy “beach” for children to play in. This is a natural, back to nature site so if you are looking for modern shower blocks and bordered hard standing pitches, this isn’t for you. The showers and compost loos worked well, thoughtful touches like laminated maps and guides for the walks plus an honesty shop selling home made produce, honey and fresh eggs. Firepits are provided along with logs if you fancy that. It is a great stopover for us when travelling away, we loved it and will be back.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Very good price, location & over all good campsite. Has everything you need, the owners were very friendly and easy to contact. We liked how each pitch has a designated fire pit area and the uncut grass areas inbetween pitches. The location was great, we took a 10 minute drive to south cerney to hire some
canoes in the sun. The toilets & showers were a lot cleaner than expected and the honesty shop was great. Definitely worth another visit

Liked It was just such an amazing experience. The campsite ver clean and spacious and the toilet, shower and kitchen facilities are perfect. Zoe (the owner) is a gem of a person. There are places to make fires and wood to purchase. There was soap, quality toilet paper, the views are amazing. Everyone on the campsite was really pleasant.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Gorgeous views and excellent facilities which included odourless compost loos, warm showers and a large washing area. A lot of thought had gone into the communal area with loads of recommendations for local walks/days out. Great for young families and dog owners. Our campervan pitch was a great size and a good distance from our neighbours. Also delighted to see the sauna/plunge bath onsite although wasn't the time during a heatwave :)

Disliked That we couldn't stay for longer!

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Spacious pitches. Fire pit per pitch. Really clean and eco friendly facilities. Lovely little honesty shop, with laminated walking routes. Straight forward self check in.

Disliked Our only downside was that a large number of pitches are on a big slant, so bear in mind if you have a campervan! We had complications on our journey so arrived a bit later, at which time most of the top pitches (the only level ones) were taken.

Liked So peaceful, beautifully and sympathetically cared for site that sits at ease with the surrounding countryside.
Amenities immaculately clean and a wonderful, little honesty shop which also contained well prepared local guides and information.

The historic town of Malmesbury (15 minutes’ drive) is known for the splendid Gothic abbey built in the 12th century. Step inside to see the tomb of King Athelstan, the first king of England; then take a stroll among the manicured hedges of the Abbey House Gardens. Open from early April to late September, the Elemental Sculpture Park (15 minutes) features works by artists working in a range of materials, from stone and bronze to recycled metals. You’ll come across these sculptures as you wander around a 10-acre area of woodland. With a vast collection of birds, plus primates and large mammals, Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens (40 minutes) is a top spot for budding naturalists, who can take part in experiences such as feeding times (for penguins, lemurs and lions).
