What customers say
This is a well-maintained and friendly campsite in a beautiful rural setting, praised for its location, quiet atmosphere, and spacious pitches with picnic tables. Staff are consistently described as helpful and welcoming. Facilities are generally clean and good, with particular mention of the campers' kitchen. It's a convenient base for visiting Stonehenge and local attractions, with nearby pubs and walking routes. Some minor issues mentioned include dated male facilities and occasional noise. Overall, visitors highly recommend it and many plan to return.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Pete and his family are the site's Wardens. They are so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The site is well organised and the ladies washblock was clean.
Make sure you tale the footpath (at the bottom of the site near the washing up area) to the wonderful Boot pub.

Could be a fantastic site but feels a bit run down.
Electric grass pitch
Liked The pitch we had ( no.7 ) was lovely, surrounded by trees and very quiet. The site location is perfect for Stonehenge and the surrounding area.
The whole site has the potential to be very nice, the countryside around is pretty and the layout of the site works well with a mix of open fields and secluded corners, but...
Disliked The facilities are too few and the standard of cleanliness is poor. Three male toilets for the whole site, only four ladies toilets. The showers were dirty and need proper changing facilities.
You need to be fully self sufficient for any stay longer than a day.
Both pubs within walking distance were closed, one permanently.

I would not stay here again. We left after 1 night.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Very peaceful site. Loved the individual style pitches. Making you feel like you have a space of your own. Lovely spacious pitches with a picnic bench too.
Disliked Nothing to do within walking distance. Great for some but not for us.
Communal facilities (toilets, showers, refuse area and Elsan point) all in poor condition. Toilets, showers very grimy and unclean, Elsan in awful unsanitary condition. Refuse area just a huge pile of smelly refuge bags. No bins or refuge receptacles to put your rubbish in.
