What customers say

This is a peaceful, well-located campsite with spacious pitches offering electric and water. It's praised for its proximity to the Kennet and Avon Canal, providing excellent walking and cycling opportunities. While generally clean and functional, the toilet and shower facilities are described by many as basic, dated, and a considerable walk from some pitches. Some guests mentioned unisex facilities and potential road noise. Despite minor drawbacks, many found it good value and plan to return.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Nothing about the site but Devizes is a lovely location to visit.

Disliked Poor toilet and shower facilities. Only 2 showers on site which were not acceptably clean.
Pitch was in a field where the grass needed cutting, feet would get soaking wet wading through the grass.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely and quiet.

Buying fresh fruit and flowers from the kids in front of the main house.

Easy to find

Lovely and close to the canal

Dog friendly

Disliked Not enough showers, had to wait a few times.

Walk to the toilets maybe an issue for some.

No separate male and female facilities, could be an issue for some

Electric grass pitch (large)

Liked Good convenient location for exploring.

Quiet site (mostly), road in distance.

Canal is really close by for relaxing walks.

Kids loved ducks. Friendly owner. Showers always had warm water!

Small fields with great size pitches so felt spacious.

Trees around field meant shady patches nearby if you needed them. The tent can get hot!

Disliked No way of contacting anyone after 6pm. We had noisy neighbours partying loudly into the night on the first night.

Showers need an upgrade but are functional.

Local attractions

Wander the canal first of all, for a short stroll along its locks or for the peacefully scenic three-mile walk into the market town of Devizes, home of 29 canal locks and hundreds of historic sites including over 500 listed buildings and an 11th-century Norman castle. History is all around here, such as at the famed and ancient stones of Avebury, 10 miles away, Chippenham and Trowbridge, both within 15 miles, and Lacock Abbey & Cloisters six miles away, used as a location in some of the Harry Potter films. The petting zoo, adventure playground, Georgian stately home and Capability Brown-designed gardens Bowood House & Gardens are seven miles away. A 20-mile drive will take you to the Roman baths, shopping and beaut old buildings of UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath along the River Avon; if you're a literary type, take pride in a trip to the city's Jane Austen Centre to see its museum on the writer and have a sup in its Regency tearoom. Bradford-on-Avon, 10 miles away, also has Georgian houses as well as plenty of independent shops and a handsome riverside walk. Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park are both 20 miles from the farm.
