Simple and relaxing site
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Only there for one night but a lovely, relaxed site. Limited facilities eg water and 2 portaloos, but a lovely welcome tent with fresh produce offered and local information. Good text conversation and welcome from owners.
Site is next to Avon and Kennet canal with great walks along it and into the local village of All Cannings where there is a good pub

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked You can choose your own pitch. All of them are large and flat (no holes or mounds).
The camping field is big and the consequent space enhances everyone’s privacy.
No shower facility is available, so you can skip taking a shower without feeling guilty (well, you are on holiday after all!).
The owners are charming hosts.

Relaxed, friendly and beautiful place to camp.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Relaxed, friendly and beautiful place to camp. Somewhat remote and next to the K&A canal, a few good canal side pubs in the area. Ideal base for exploring Avebury and other historic sites, and walking the Pewsey ridgeway. The owners came by to share a friendly hello but apart from that the place is unsupervised.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.
