  • Peaceful glamping getaway on a Somerset smallholding near Yeovil
  • A five-minute drive to Ham Hill and 40 minutes to the Jurassic Coast
  • Well-equipped, comfy tipis with private shower, kitchen and firepit
Set on a Somerset smallholding near Yeovil, Cloud Nine Camping offers a nifty little country retreat surrounded by animals grazing peaceful fields. You’ll soon make friends with the sheep, goats, chickens and ducks, but be sure to keep your dogs on a lead around the animals. So what’s on offer here? Quite a lot actually. Outdoors there’s private wooden seating and a firepit, as well as a wooden hut with compost loos and hot showers. Facilities at your rural escape are completed by a field kitchen kitted out with plates, cutlery, pans, a kettle, toaster and fridge, plus a washing-up area – in short, pretty much all you need for a chilled mini-break. And wherever you look, spectacular views combine with history. Ham Hill (five minutes’ drive) offers glorious views over South Somerset, as well as an ancient hill fort and stone circle. And from the top of mysterious Glastonbury Tor (35 minutes), you can glimpse the Somerset Levels spread out below. Montacute House (five minutes) is a gorgeous spot for picnicking under ancient oaks in acres of parkland, and you can clamber in the car and be searching for millennia-old fossils on the Jurassic Coast in 40 minutes. But be sure to be back on site to catch the amazing sunset – and if you’re lucky, on clear nights you’ll spot the Milky Way glittering high above your Somerset retreat.

Tipi

Liked: Owners were lovely and hospitality was great. Peaceful location with everything you needed! Kids had a brilliant time made better by being given the opportunity to hand feed the baby lamb. Tippee was warm and cosy with room for all six of us. Would definately recommend 😀
