General
- Peaceful landscaped park near the Somerset/Devon border
- Adults only
- Excellent amenities including free showers, library and guest computer
Pitches divided by plants and trees to allow privacy, on pretty landscaped grounds with views of the surrounding hills, and on an adults-only site – have a peaceful and scenic stay at Waterrow Touring Park.
No stresses either when getting out to explore the southwest, as the park is in the Somerset village of Waterrow on the B3227, close to the Somerset/Devon border and a 30-minute drive from Exmoor. Are you a fishing fan? Several fishing lakes are nearby as well as fly fishing on the River Tone for experienced anglers.
If excellent amenities also make you feel restful, you'll likely like the Waterrow facilities of toilet and shower blocks set in a dry and modern barn, with underfloor heating, spacious shower cubicles and easily operated shower controls flowing out free hot water.
Also in the barn is an information area, library, guest computer, payphone, freezer, microwave, laundry area, washing-up sinks and – most welcome – a coffee machine.

Local attractions
This is a well-placed park for days out in Somerset, Devon, Exmoor and the Somerset countryside and coast as well as cultural times at historic houses, gardens and properties maintained by the National Trust.
In the more immediate area, several circular walks wind to and from Waterrow Touring Park, and both Blackdown Hills AONB and Wimbleball Lake walks are well under ten miles' drive.
Guests also have easy access to several fishing lakes nearby as well as somewhat more challenging casting off from the River Tone, where anglers compete to land chub, quality roach, bream, grayling and trout.
Free fishing is available on the Tone stretch between the top of French Weir to the end of the Market car park; also angle for bream at the River Huntspill, a short distance from Taunton on the other side of Bridgwater.
Several cycle routes are in the area too, such as the flat and easy 11 or so miles along the Grand Western Canal, part of the part of the West Country Way (NCN3) Cycle Route running from Padstow to Bristol.
If you're erring towards the more historic, try Taunton Castle, Coldharbour Mill, and the National Trust's Knightshayes Court and Killerton House.
