BATCOMBE VALE - ADULTS-ONLY CAMPING IN SOMERSET Tucked into the Somerset countryside near Bruton, Batcombe Vale is an award-winning, adults-only (16+) campsite where nature sets the pace and dogs are welcome. Winner of Best Campsite in Somerset on Channel 4's The Perfect Pitch, this is a genuinely secluded retreat for couples, solo travellers and friends seeking space, stillness and a lighter footprint. THE SETTING Sitting within a 120-acre privately farmed vale, the campsite feels removed from the world - a quiet pocket of Somerset where rolling hills, mature woodland, a hidden glade and a wildlife lake create a natural sense of shelter and calm. Escape beneath some of the darkest, most star-filled skies in the county, watch spectacular sunsets, see stunning views, spot kingfishers and deer, walk straight from your pitch onto quiet footpaths, or simply sit by the water and let the day pass. YOUR PITCHES With just 30 spacious, levelled grass pitches we keep numbers deliberately small so there's always room to breathe. All pitches sit alongside a hard roadway for easy, all-weather access. Electric pitches - 10amp hook-ups for campervans, motorhomes, touring caravans and powered tent setups. Hook-up cables available to borrow free of charge. Non-electric pitches - traditional off-grid camping at its best. Maximum unit length 7m. One vehicle per pitch. FACILITIES • Free hot showers and flush toilets - no coins, no queues • Complimentary tea and coffee every morning in the reception hut • Washing-up stations with hot water • Freezer for guest ice packs • Elsan disposal point with rinse hose • Kadai fire bowls for hire, kiln-dried logs for sale on site • Fresh water points throughout the site • Zero-sort recycling: McCarthy Marland sort all waste and recycling off-site • Well-behaved dogs welcome - up to 2 per pitch OUR COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT Batcombe Vale is committed to low-impact camping. We manage the land for wildlife and minimise waste. You can read more about our approach on our website. PRICES From £38 per night - 2 people with a vehicle From £30 per night - 2 adults arriving by bicycle with a tent GOOD TO KNOW Open Friday 19th June - Sunday 6th September 2026. Check-in 2pm–8pm.
