Pool Bridge is at the top of the Horner Valley and just a mile and a half from the village of Porlock which has all the local amenities including restaurants, pubs and great village shops. The campsite has two meadows surrounded by ancient oak woodland and with the River Horner running down through both. There are numerous walking and mountain biking trails from the site. Walk to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor, or down along the River Horner for a cream tea at Horner Vale Tea Garden. The shower block in the centre of the site has toilets, showers and chemical disposal.

Local attractions

Pool Bridge is in the Exmoor National Park - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you will find the outdoor activities on offer are endless. Take a trip across the Tarr Steps, a Stone Age bridge over the River Barle, or we can organise horse riding, mountain biking, coasteering, rock climbing, fishing, boat trips, kayaking and plenty of other outdoor activities. Or, if you prefer, we can organise a red deer safari. West Somerset Steam Railway is also a great day out, as is the National Trust's Dunster Castle.
