Tall Trees!

General

  • Luxury safari tents on the edge of the Somerset Levels
  • Four and a half miles from Glastonbury
  • Egyptian cotton bed linen, cosy duvets, bathroom and log burner

Swish safari tents in Somerset an easy four and a half miles from Glastonbury await glampers at the spectacular little site of Tall Trees Glamping, on the edge of the Somerset Levels just outside the hamlet of Coxbridge.

The luxury safari tents here are in a roomy field with trees and plants, a wild meadow and its little orchard, which is the main communal space. Each sleeps six people and up to two dogs, in a main bedroom, twin bedroom and double cabin bed; all beds are made up with Egyptian cotton bed linen and cosy duvets. Safari tents also have their own bathroom with a shower, flushing toilet, basin, hot water and heated towel rail; log burners are provided indoors too for cosy evenings.

The site has bike hire and a games room. Barbecues and campfires are both allowed.

We had a fantastic stay - even though it was very cold - the wood burner was a blessing and made a difference. The best part was climbing into a warm and very comfy bed at the end of the day. The kids loved the open space to run and ride their bikes. We will definately be back but this time when the weather is warmer.

    Disliked:

We didn't enjoy having to brave the rain and cold to go to the bathroom - but this is a minor dislike - hence still the 5 stars :)

Great tent/cabin with excellent facilities inside and out. The local was perfect and quiet. Even the dogs had a great time here. Luxury in the middle of a field with good facilities to hand in the honesty shop and games room. Great getaway for all of us.

LOVED the lodge, it had everything you need, so all you need to pack are clothes. The beds are very comfortable with heaters for extra snugness, The children loved the upstairs bed with the heart door. The whole lodge is very well designed, with plenty of space for everyone.

The bathroom is perfect, with plenty of lovely towels. It's a very peaceful place, so perfect for getting away from it all with family and friends, plenty of space for kids to run around plus there is the games room which is good for older kids.

We enjoyed a visit to Glastonbury Tor and Glastonbury town, then a trip down to West Bay beach.

It's lush camping with all the comforts from home
    Would love to return.

Great location, very well-equipped lodge with luxury private bathroom, communal games room, bike hire. Thoughtful, basic supplies provided but also good selection of extra provisions available in small on-site honesty shop. Lovely welcome from Jono who has got the balance just right for these safari tents - beautifully finished with small personal touches to make your stay even more comfortable without too much fuss. Incredibly comfortable beds ensure a good night’s sleep under canvas and our (almost) 10 year old had ‘the best sleep ever’ in the cosy cabin bed. We were very grateful for the efficient log burner, which made our first wet and windy evening much more comfortable. We would highly recommend Tall Trees Glamping.
