What customers say
This well-organised, spacious campsite is praised for its excellent facilities, particularly the numerous, clean showers and toilets. Staff are consistently described as friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The location is ideal for walking to Cheddar village and attractions. While many highlight the lively, family-friendly atmosphere with on-site entertainment and food options, some guests found it busy and noisy, particularly during peak times. Issues with pitch spacing and occasional cleanliness concerns in facilities were noted, though management often addressed these promptly.

Lovely site.
Electric grass pitch
Liked The site was in a lovely location . 10 minute walk into cheddar.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Pitches large.
Disliked The young lad who cleaned the toilets was brilliant cleaned the toilets and showers within an inch of their life.
However, people using facilities not so good. Toilets back to being misused within an hour. Such a shame.

A really good campsite not spoiled by noisy bars, clubs etc,
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely relaxed atmosphere, clean, spacious, very welcoming and helpful staff. They have different fields for those who want a quiet site, we opted for the family fields as we were camping with Grandson, excellent simple play areas with old tractors, landrovers, golf buggys, all made safe and fixed, old electrical wooden drums of different heights, tractor tyres etc. Slides tree trunks...you name it and the kids love it.
Love the breakfast cafe, Pizzas, weekends and school holidays (remember to order)a double decker bus, turned into a bar, surrounded by tables, with a fiire pit in the middle, acoustic music Fri eve.
Strict 11pm curfew on sound and play.
Biker friendly too.
Toilets and shower blocks are plentiful, clean and spacious with a dish washing area, excellent recycling, waste system, chemical toilet emptying facility and great little shop selling food essentials, local meat and a selection of wines, local beers/ciders, soft drinks, ice cream and teas/coffees. Well within walking distance of Cheddar village or 5 mins drive.
Disliked Having to leave and come home🙄

Toilets and showers aside, still well recommended and would return.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Excellent location. Large campsite with plenty of room. Although we weren't there for the main entertainment days, the area where the cocktail bus was a great extra. Breakfast and coffee facilities also available although we didn't use ourselves, but other people we spoke to gave good reviews, and the prices for food and drinks looked fair. Could not fault the staff, they were very helpful and friendly. No Wifi but strong 5G signal (for me on EE anyway). A good atmosphere all round.
Disliked The toilets, although were reasonably well maintained (they can't be expected to clean up everyone's mess straight away, that is down to the campers themselves in my opinion), they weren't as good as we had hoped. As they are essentially pre-fabricated toilet units dropped into place, they are more like high-end festival loos. We were expecting an actual toilet and shower building for a site of this size and cost. The showers lost pressure and fluctuated in temperature a lot when several were being used at once.
The toilets had a short flush as well, which meant that it sometimes took several flushes to clear, please note that not everyone seems to have the common to look back after they have flushed! Also using toilet tissue sheets rather than toilet rolls means that people sometimes only get a broken bit at a time, which often ends up on the floor. Which I understand is a campers thing, not down to the staff.
Only £3 electric included, we hardly use any electricity as we have a solar panel and rarely use the 240V, but somehow the £3 still didn't last very long.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Good location, plenty of facilities, well run, friendly staff. Flexibility on allocated space, i.e. I could choose a space closer to the facilities than at first suggested. Evening bar and morning breakfast van create good atmosphere and possibilities to link up with other campers. Good shower units etc. EV charging facility. Within walking distance of Cheddar village, albeit quite a long walk to caves.
Disliked No place to refreeze ice-packs, which was the only downside really.
