Owley Woods Glamping

The location was gorgeous and the decor of the tents was beautiful too. We had everything we could need upon arrival, and a lovely set up just outside the tent for having fires and cooking food. The facilities on site are immaculate. Paula was very accommodating and a very kind host.

Myself and my husband thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break at Owley Woods. The belle tent was beautiful, spacious and comfortable and the location was ideal. Just a 20 minute walk into Cheddar gorge, but far enough out to hear the birds in the morning uninterrupted. Paula was a fantastic host, friendly and attentive. The facilities were spotless and we loved the kitchen area where there is a communal fridge, complimentary coffee etc. All the details were thought out and it's clear to see a lot of love and care has gone into the making of Owley Woods. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the beautiful countryside :)

The quiet site, how new it was (new in 2021), the cleanliness, the great showers and toilet facilities, the fire pit, the decor in the bell tents, the friendly host (Paula).

Highly recommend. Beautiful bell tents with all the luxury items you could need. Super comfortable bed, clean and modern shower toilet block, fairy lights in the tent, we loved bbqing over the fire pit too.
Great place to take dogs as they have an enclosed dog field next door and our dog even got his own welcome goody bag! Owners are lovely. Beautiful views and very private grounds surrounded by woods. Great access to cheddar gorge and town.

Went here for a birthday surprise and it was amazing. Really loved all the little touches including a doggie bag for our pup when he arrived.

Owley Glamping, Cheddar, Somerset.

We were so delighted to get a late booking at this amazing glamping site. Set in a tranquil and rural location with woodland all around, it was like being miles from anywhere, so quiet.

We walked a couple of miles along the West Mendip Way to the top of Cheddar Gorge and were rewarded with breathtaking views.

Our Lotus Bell Tent had a huge comfortable bed, plenty of surfaces to put stuff on and all our creature comforts. The shared areas (shower block and 'cheats' kitchen) were very clean and well equipped; it's all the added little touches that are well thought out, which makes it a special place to stay.

Sitting outside our tent with the kettle on the woodburner, fire pit roaring (it's a barbecue too) is a memory we will treasure. We were pleased it rained one night as the sound on the canvas making it feel cosy, dry and warm inside, with stylish surroundings, were just magical.

We can't wait to return and have a stress-free break again. We highly recommend glamping at Owley with Paula, the wonderful friendly host – nothing was too much trouble.

Beautiful set up, so easy, just needed to turn up with clothes and a towel and everything else was there, in excellent condition. The owners were super friendly and seemed to have thought of everything! Solar panels so you can charge phones and have sufficient lighting in the tents which were super spacious! 2 brand new combined toilet and shower rooms (which is more than enough for 5 tents/adults only site), a fire pit/bbq and burner with a little outdoor seating area per tent along with all the utensils and access to unlimited logs etc, a kitchen bench for doing your washing up and even a little communal ‘pantry’ with a fridge, kettle (if you can’t wait for the log burner), toaster and some snacks plus extra coals etc you can purchase through an honesty box. It in a great location too, you’re oblivious to how close you are to the gorge and surrounded by trees with great walks straight from the property along the top of the gorge through nearby countryside. We loved staying at Owley Woods and will definitely be staying there again if we go back to the area or we may even make a trip just for a relaxed weekend in the outdoor but with all the comforts!
