The outdoor pool
Indoor pool

  • Family holiday park with indoor and outdoor pools plus a fishing lake
  • A five-minute drive to Burnham-on-Sea and 20 to Weston-super-Mare
  • Sauna, Jacuzzi, restaurant, live entertainment, shop and play area
Run by a family for families, Home Farm Holiday Park really does have everything your travel crew needs for a satisfying stint in Somerset… including both indoor and outdoor swimming pools (open in the warmer months), with the latter having a mini water factory and a toddler splash zone. (At both pools you'll need to book slots in advance to make sure they're never overcrowded.) Parents can sprawl out on a free sun lounger while the kids swim at this site five minutes' drive from Burnham-on-Sea… or find a babysitter and make their way towards the well-stocked fishing lake to reel in common carp, bream and pike (with an environmental rod licence plus a Home Farm Fishing Permit). A fully equipped gym’s also here for the adults, along with a sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room for an extra fee. Got the pup with you as well? A special dog-walking area is on site to make sure they're all tuckered out before the drive home Activities the clan can take part in together include live entertainment during the evenings at the Nite Owl complex, which has two amusement arcades, family-friendly restaurant and kids’ bar. If the big game’s on, catch it on the live BT Sports showings (footie fans might also appreciate that a football pitch is on site as well…), or stream it on the wifi while getting into the Somerset spirit by sipping on ciders. Just make sure to line the stomach beforehand with options from the takeaway menu or concoct your own meals using ingredients from the on-site supermarket. It’ll be easy to get home speedily after stays here, as the park’s close to Junction 22 of the M5 motorway.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Very nice site, defo use again on a stop over to Cornwall.
Van broke down but they were very good and patient with us while we sorted a tow truck.

Disliked Needs more hooks in the showers and the showers were very hot, no temperature control.

Also indoor pool is £3:50 per person! It stated free on website - this should be made clearer.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (pet friendly)

Liked Great location, not too far from anything and lots to do locally
Good-sized pitches and lighting at night.
Having 2 pools was good. My family used the gym and said it was ok
My granddaughter loved the park.
Food available on site was well priced, with a good choice, not overpriced. Staff were friendly.
Entertainment every night

Disliked Reception staff could give slightly more information re the position of your vans.
The site cleaning and general housekeeping, maintenance could be improved. While it's not bad, it doesn't meet the standard we see at other similar sites.
Lots of rubbish scattered around the grass; the changing rooms in the pool areas were particularly poor, leaving us not wanting to get changed there.
The evening entertainment was so loud!!! This was the worst bit; the singers were great, but everything must be aimed at deaf people. Even when we sat away, we had to shout at each other to hear.

Liked Indoor Swimming pool, dog walk, food

Disliked Too many caravans squeezed into a small space. Not enough facilities for the amount of people staying there. A lot of the toilet and shower doors locks did not work.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (no pets, super)

Liked Very friendly helpful staff. Lovely flat pitches. Super hardstanding pitches were great - would like to be allocated a pitch rather than just pick one, as if you go off site (which we fit) anybody can just have your pitch.

Disliked Shower block could do with upgrading, although still functional and was still clean. Indoor pool and spa area is looking quite tired. Paying £5 just to use the sauna steam room and jacuzzi then having to pay a separate fee of £3.50 just to use the pool was very expensive for 1 hour especially when the outdoor pool is free.

Local attractions

This park’s close to Somerset attractions including Britain’s shortest pier at Burnham-on-Sea, about a five-minute drive away. If you’re up for a longer stroll, this coastal town also has a 2.5-mile promenade to wander on with shops and restaurants lining the front. For a bigger pier, head to Weston-super-Mare's seafront jetty a 20-minute drive up the coast and check out the old buildings of this Victorian-era resort while you’re there. For more browsing after dipping in and out of the town's antique shops, the discount outlets of Clarks Village are about half an hour away from Home Farm in the car. Splurging got you feeling peckish? Inland, and about a 20-minute drive from the site, is the tourist town of Cheddar for stocking up on the famed cheese and then taking it along to the scenic gorge nearby for a picnic...
