What customers say

Wilksworth Caravan Park is a clean, well-maintained, and spacious site popular with families. Reviewers praise the excellent play areas, swimming pool, and sports facilities. Pitches are generally large and level, and staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. Some minor criticisms include the swimming pool temperature and the need for occasional facility updates. While most experiences are positive, a few visitors noted issues with noise and pitch proximity.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The pool! It was well heated and kept the kids busy even in the rain.

Pitches were well spaced.

Small shop but had the essentials.

Disliked Some campers were very noisy until well into the early hours with no one asking them to keep the noise down.

Could do with a few more loos dotted about, it was a bit of a trek for us to the main block.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked We arrived and it was a smooth check in process. Setting up went well and we were lucky enough to be close to an electric hock up. Some pitches are quite away and you would need an extension lead. The pitch was a good size but I’m sure when it’s fully booked it could seem crowded. The shop on site has basic requirements and here is where you can hire tennis rackets. The pool was a great touch and perfect in the hot days. The sessions are an hour. The showers and toilets were clean. It has a football pitch where the boys loved going to play everyone. Quite often there was a match organised. We will be back. As a family with one child, this was perfect and our son made some amazing friends.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 children. The campsite is a great location close to lots of beaches.
Our camping pitch had plenty of space and close to the toilet and shower blocks and washing up facilities. Lots of space for kids to play.

Disliked The shower and toilet facilities were not kept very clean.
The football pitches and park were great but could do with some lights so the kids could continue playing in the evenings.
The shop was not very well stocked with essentials and very expensive! £4 for 6 rashers of bacon!
We very much enjoyed our stay, but it could do with a few small improvements.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked The pitch we had was right by the pool and play park, which was great. Huge level pitches, we will definitely be coming back next year, to hopefully the same pitch.

Disliked There are no toilets anywhere near the pool area , which I thought was strange. There’s only one set of toilets that are by the entrance , so a bit of a walk if you’re in the pool and need the loo !
Showers could do with a little update , they’re a bit dated , but that didn’t bother me too much , it’s camping at the end of the day.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We loved our 4 night break. The staff were lovely, the site had great activities for the kids! And the food vans were an added bonus.

Disliked The only thing that I thought let it down was the shower block - they need to be cleaned more often. The toilets were clean but the showers were terrible.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked The cleanliness and friendly staff, great pitch which was lovely and quiet…

Disliked When you have visited the pool once a day then another wrist band is nearly impossible to obtain, disappointed kids as an hour wasn’t long enough …
how most people stick to the rules then others blatantly disregard and park next to the tent…..

Local attractions

Hold on to your hats, folks: the staff on site have many suggestions for a day out round these parts. Beach days, for starters – on the sandy stretch in Bournemouth perhaps, or rubbing shoulders with the swanky folks at Sandbanks, both of which are half an hour away by car. Charmouth, an hour away, is the place for dino-loving kids to ferret out a fossil or two. Potter down to Poole Quay (half an hour away) for boat trips to Brownsea Island, or drive down to Durdle Door (45 minutes) to swim or kayak through the huge limestone arch. Away from the coast, the New Forest National Park is half an hour away for fresh-air frolics including walks, horse rides and canoe trips. And keep the kids on best behaviour with the promise of a trip to Peppa Pig World, Monkey World, Adventure Wonderland or Go Ape, all of which are within a half-hour drive.
