Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Amazing site - lovely new shower block that was always really clean. Really nice owners - Vicki showed us around the farm and we were able to feed some baby calves! I don't often leave reviews but I feel this place deserves one - thanks for a lovely stay!

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Great family run campsite, Vicky and Rich are incredibly welcoming, friendly and approachable. It's a quiet and rural site but only 10/15 minute drive to Weymouth seafront. Facilities have been upgraded and to a high level. These are kept immaculately clean. We were able to see the calves in the shed and our 2 year old loved getting hands on. This is our second stay at this campsite and we will be sure to return next year.

Possibly the cleanest site I've stayed in a tent. Highly recommend.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Really lovely hosts, fountain of knowledge of the surrounding area.
Massive pitch area, we did pay for the larger area, but the prices was really affordable.
Electric hook up was reasonably priced and charged for electricity was minimal(pennies).
Shower/toilet/sink area brand new and Vicky was constantly cleaning.

Disliked Goal posts/kids play area closer to tents then caravans, and the kids was mainly from the caravans, so sounded louder in tents. Maybe move play area away from the tents?
Bins, when getting fuller could smell if the wind blew the wrong way, maybe site could look at relocating them.
Dislikes was small things but never enough to ruin our stay.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner, she was extremely welcoming and very likeable.

The checking in process was perfect and we were shown to our pitch.

No issue was too small, we had a problem connecting to the electric hook up, and that was sorted in no time (the issue was with us, not the site)

The site was very clean and tidy and all guests were quiet and respectful.

The toilet block was brand new and was cleaned regularly so it was immaculate every time you went there.

Couldn’t fault this little site, absolutely perfect!

Local attractions

It’s really worth bringing your walking shoes along for a stay here, as you can set off on foot for lots of local attractions, take in some of the Jurassic Coast’s top scenery on a hike along the South West Coast Path, or do a circuit of the nearby Isle of Portland. If you’d rather head straight to the beach, get down to Weymouth’s family-friendly stretch to see if you can build sandcastles that will rival the displays at Sandworld sand sculpture park. Also in town are the Sea Life Centre, Pirate Adventure Mini Golf and a harbour for fishing or wildlife-spotting boat trips. For leisurely days out nearby, try a visit to Bennetts Water Gardens (10 minutes’ drive), Abbotsbury Swannery (15 minutes), RSPB Lodmoor (15 minutes) or Hardys Cottage (25 minutes) or set off to explore the ghost village of Tyneham (45 minutes). If you’re after something livelier for the kids, the likes of Monkey World (half an hour) and Dorset Adventure Park (40 minutes) are likely to hit the spot.
