Electric gravel touring pitch
Fully serviced

  • Spacious pitches on the Dorset coast, overlooking Chesil Beach
  • A 10-minute drive to central Weymouth; 15 mins to Isle of Portland
  • On-site bar for drinks and food; play area and playing field
You’ll be able to squeeze the maximum amount of sea air out of your Dorset coastal break when you stay at East Fleet Farm Touring Park – this spectacular location is on the shores of the Fleet Lagoon, with views over Chesil Beach to the open sea beyond. Having sea views from the site means that you may be tempted to hang around on your pitch, put your feet up and simply take in the scenery for much of your break. And that’s not a bad idea at all – pitches are generously sized, with access to a play area and playing field for kids that may need a bit more activity. The well-stocked shop has various camping/caravan accessories and consumables, and it’s also the place to pick up a newspaper and an ice cream to take back to your camping chair. For more substantial eats, head to the on-site bar, which has an extensive food menu as well as a range of local drinks. It really is worth making the effort to get out and about locally though: there are some stunning walks on the South West Coast Path (which passes next to the site) and plenty of places to go for a bike ride. Weymouth and Dorchester are easily accessed too, as are the watersports of Portland and attractions such as Abbotsbury Swannery.

What customers say

This is a highly-rated campsite with excellent, clean facilities, particularly praised are the spacious shower rooms. The staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful. Guests appreciate the well-stocked on-site shop and the beautiful location with coastal walks. Pitches are generally spacious. Some visitors noted issues with Wi-Fi and a few found certain pitches sloped. While generally positive, occasional comments mentioned noise from the playground and occasional cleanliness concerns in toilet blocks during peak times.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked Great location, a bit slopey in areas for tents. My pitch wasn't too bad. Good facilities. Food at the restaurant is average for the price. Pint is £6. Play park is good for the kids. Bring your own ping pong set or have to buy from the shop as they don't rent them out. Local aldi, sysrbucks and burger King .6 miles away. Evening entertainment on in the barn.

Disliked Toilets are not cleaned often enough and are disgusting from the first thing in the morning. WiFi a ross site for free but didn't work for us and we were under a mast.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely big pitch with lots of space for the children to play. Right next to the south west path and a beautiful nature reserve.
Good pub and VERY good shop with lots of camping gear and great choice of food.

Disliked The toilets and showers were a bit of a trek from our pitch. Also one night we had an absolute seam of gnats around us because we had lights on I think. Not the sites fault but I think it's worth knowing - not many people had lights out possibly for this reason?

Electric grass pitch

Liked Excellent facilities on site - shop was brilliant. Really liked the barn bar with its catering vans. Stunning setting close to weymouth and portland.

Disliked Both sides of the site are on a hill which you need to bare in mind. The pitch that we was allocated was an electric pitch however was a long way from the hook up point so our cable wouldnt reach. Staff were great tho and do have extensions to lend out.We stayed in stable field where there were only 8 showers for everyone so unless you get up early there's a lot of standing around and waiting.

Local attractions

Can’t keep your eyes off the sea views? Pick up the South West Coast Path at the bottom end of the park, or head for favourite spots along the Jurassic Coast like West Bay (half an hour’s drive) and Lulworth Cove (35 minutes). The Isle of Portland (15 minutes) is also a great place for a walk, and it’s also got lots of watersports including windsurfing, coasteering and scuba diving. Weymouth (10 minutes) is another perennial favourite for its lovely sandy beach and attractions like the Sea Life Centre and Pirate Adventure Golf. You can also get to the town on two wheels by picking up the Weymouth Trail cycle route from the bridleway by the site (or follow the full nine-mile trail up into the hills…) Other options for days out nearby include Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens (15 minutes), Vurlands Animal Farm (20 minutes) or an arty afternoon at Sculpture By The Lakes (half an hour).
