  • A family-run campsite on a farm in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck.
  • Excellent transport links, including a steam railway.
  • Ideally located near the cost, and within walking distance of 4 pubs.
Norden Farm is located in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck- set back from the main road, but with easy access. It's a rural site and may not be suitable for those who look for ready-made entertainment! There are three adjacent, level grass fields which offer electric hook ups, and an additional large grass field for tents and camper vans in peak season. There are no hard standings at present. In addition to camping, a traditional farm cottage is available for hire. This sleeps four and is located on the campsite, with its own private garden. Norden House is also available as a large self-catering holiday home to sleep up to 14 people. This is a family site which welcomes dogs, but asks they are kept under control at all times. The site is open from March until October, weather permitting.

Local attractions

Norden Farm is conveniently located for using public transport. With a bus stop at the campsite entrance, and a steam railway station a short walk away, getting out and about is no problem for campers here! Just a short walk away is Corfe Castle, which boasts three pubs, a bakery, and of course, the old ruins of the castle. Take the footpath into the village that runs straight from our campsite! Further in that direction is the coastal town of Swanage. Here, you will find a multitude of shops, pubs, a nightclub, and white sand beach. If heading the other way, you will reach the ancient town of Wareham- popular for the quantity of pubs, the River Frome and the Rex Cinema. There is also a train station here, making access to London or Weymouth quick and easy. The Purbeck Sports Centre is also located here, fulfilling all of your sporting and leisure needs, including all Sky HD and BT Sports HD live events in their All Stars bar. For historians, the Isle of Purbeck flaunts Tyneham Village, The Etches Fossil Collection, Kingston Lacy, Swanage Heritage Railway, Hardy's Cottage and many more. Geographers will be in awe of Kimmeridge Bay, the Arne Peninsula, Durdle Door, and other spectacular parts of the world's first natural Heritage Site, the Jurassic Coast. Those who like to keep fit will be spoilt for choice when it comes to hiking and cycle paths along the coastline, through woodlands and across heathland. Families will love Studland beach, Monkey World, Putlake Adventure Farm, Dorset Waterpark and Bovington Tank Museum.
