Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The shower/toilet block for the touring area are an abomination. They smell disgusting all the time they are filthy, I felt dirtier after a shower than I did before my shower. The showers trickle and to say they are tepid is being generous. The cleaner walks round with a pink spray. Sprays the sinks and disappears. Not in any way are they a good experience. We paid £200 for 4 nights but that only gets you the pitch. EVERYTHING else is an additional cost. Alcohol - we had 1 Guinness and a medium wine it cost £15!!!! needless to say we didn't drink in there again. The hot taps in the ladies had NO water coming through for two days, and that was after constant complaints. Shocking, shocking, shocking. Don't bother with this site if you are a tourer. You are definitely considered a second class citizen.

Paddock electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Plenty of activities for children as long as you book in advance if you don’t book you won’t get on anything especially during half terms. Great location for exploring Dorset, 25 min drive to durdle door, Lulworth cover and sandbanks.

Disliked: Shower block was disgusting, showers didn’t work half the time and when they did they were cold and a trickle of water. We found going at 10:00pm to be the best time to get warm and sufficient amount of water. Very noisy pitch with lots of late night revellers which was fine but no staff to support if you needed it. The pool showers were stone cold and ran out of water, the pool is also freezing cold, the outdoor pool was actually warmer.

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The stuff for children to do is fantastic, things are a bit pricey, but isn’t everything now a days. The club house is brilliant the staff is friendly the stage team were fantastic. Food was average.

Disliked: The showers in the touring side weren’t the greatest, just a little water coming out, but the cleaning of them were ok.

Paddock electric grass touring pitch

Liked: Plenty to do, bus stop outside site,

Disliked: Our pitch was right under a very low tree, and had to move across the pitch, to get in because of low branches, pitch totally unsuitable fir a motorhome, to the annoyance of our neighbours in the next pitch who thought we had gone on to theirs, and on the pitch the other side they had a very large motorhome and a large car and lots of bikes that were left on our pitch. Toilets were blocked from the time we arrived to the time we left, showers were dirty and some not working.

Meadows electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The host of activities and the evening entertainment perfect for our 5 year old! You didn’t need to book swimming which we liked as you could just turn up when it suited.

Disliked: The toilets were not cleaned enough. Due to being busy they got dirty very quickly and stayed like that for a long time. Very disappointing. The showers weren’t great. The shower heads need replacing for a better water flow.

Local attractions

It’s a short hop in the car to begin discovering the area’s spectacular surrounds, from the wilds of the New Forest to the ancient cliffs, limestone arches and nature reserves of the Jurassic Coast (tick off another World Heritage Site on your 'must-see' list). Dorset is jammed with attractions to suit all interests. History buffs might fancy clambering around Northe Fort or scaling the ramparts at Corfe and Portland castles. The Adventure Wonderland family theme park has thrills for kids of all ages, plus a massive hedge maze to get lost in, and action men (and women) can go paintballing or drive a tank at the Bovington Tank Museum. There’s loads of fun for fauna fans, too: check out the chimps at Monkey World, swan about at Abbotsbury Swannery, visit Weymouth Sea Life Park, explore the largest saltwater lagoon in the country on the glass-bottomed Fleet Observer, or meet some farmyard friends at Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park. Drive a bit further and you can also make a day trip to Longleat Safari Park.
