Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch (super)

Liked: We loved this site and I’m sure we will be back as we have family in the area. A very friendly welcome and shown onto the pitch. The toilets were spotless when we got there. It was so peaceful and made a great base. It ticked all the boxes for our stay.

Electric optional grass and earth pitch

Liked: We picked this site as an adult only site which we thought would give us peace & that’s exact what it did. The site was very well kept & the facilities were clean & tidy . The site asks that you clean up after yourself in the bathrooms which isn’t difficult when they give you mops & brooms to do so - a shame some adults don’t know how to do this so feel a bit sorry for the staff having to clean up after others. The showers were good & nice & hot even better after a chilly night in a tent. We were due to camp in the glades but due to recent downpours this was a bit waterlogged so we were offered another pitch without question which was appreciated. Over all the staff were very welcoming & the site was just as we wanted. We met a fair few people coming & going & spoke with most of them in our little area .. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike with this site. We did notice a small child had been staying overnight on the site which is advertised as adults only however the child did not cause a nuisance or disturbance we were just surprised to see the little one.

Local attractions

Dorset is, of course, well known for its gorgeous landscapes – and it should be pretty easy to check out some of the top spots from here. Both the atmospheric ruins of Corfe Castle and the sparkling waters of the Blue Pool are about 20 minutes' drive away, or you could set off to the coast for a day at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door (half an hour). If you fancy a bit of activity among this scenery, perhaps play a round at Bulbury Woods Golf Club (five minutes) or have a go at the madcap floating assault course at Dorset Adventure Park (20 minutes). For more leisurely strolls, board a boat at Poole Quay (15 minutes) for a wildlife trail around Brownsea Island, wander around the National Trust’s Kingston Lacy estate (15 minutes) or set off to see birds at Abbotsbury Swannery (45 minutes). Don’t write off Dorset’s favourite family attractions either – places like Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre (20 minutes), The Tank Museum (25 minutes) and the Swanage Railway (half an hour) have plenty to offer for grownup days out.
