Liked: Small quiet site in a good location. Friendly and very helpful owners. Toilet and shower facilities very clean. Would highly recommend this site.

Disliked: Slightly larger pitch for us would have made it even better, but that have been my error when booking.

Liked: Lovely adult only site with loads of room between pitches and very relaxed. Very friendly welcome from staff (and the chickens) who lead us to our pitch and gave an explanation of site facilities.The toilet and shower block were very clean with loads of hot water. Site is very well maintained overall. We stayed on a grass pitch with electric which was fairly level. Had a lovely few nights sleep with very little noise. Small dog walk area in the woods by the entrance was just enough for our little schnauzer. Site is in a great location for exploring serval points of interest/tourist attractions in a short driving distance. Also free WiFi on site for those that can't switch off 😉

Disliked: You will need to drive off site if you want to visit any where or you have a dog that needs longer walks. The site is on a road with no footpath, so even though there are pubs in walking distance you will have to walk on the verge. We knew this before visiting so was not a problem for us as we didn't plan on going any where, just a nice peaceful rest 😊

Liked: Quiet site, everyone was very respectful about keeping noise down. Each pitch felt spacious and the site didn’t feel over crowded. The owner was very welcoming upon arrival. All facilities were clean.

Disliked: Only 3 showers, 3 toilets and 2 sinks in the ladies, which meant mornings were a little busy, though this would be less of an issue in low/mid season. Also there were a few times the loo roll had run out (though reception were very quick to resolve once informed).

Liked: We loved this site and I’m sure we will be back as we have family in the area. A very friendly welcome and shown onto the pitch. The toilets were spotless when we got there. It was so peaceful and made a great base. It ticked all the boxes for our stay.

Local attractions

Dorset is, of course, well known for its gorgeous landscapes – and it should be pretty easy to check out some of the top spots from here. Both the atmospheric ruins of Corfe Castle and the sparkling waters of the Blue Pool are about 20 minutes' drive away, or you could set off to the coast for a day at Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door (half an hour). If you fancy a bit of activity among this scenery, perhaps play a round at Bulbury Woods Golf Club (five minutes) or have a go at the madcap floating assault course at Dorset Adventure Park (20 minutes). For more leisurely strolls, board a boat at Poole Quay (15 minutes) for a wildlife trail around Brownsea Island, wander around the National Trust’s Kingston Lacy estate (15 minutes) or set off to see birds at Abbotsbury Swannery (45 minutes). Don’t write off Dorset’s favourite family attractions either – places like Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre (20 minutes), The Tank Museum (25 minutes) and the Swanage Railway (half an hour) have plenty to offer for grownup days out.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Guests under the age of 16 are not allowed on site.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Extras

Motorbike(s) can be brought instead of the car(s) included.

General

Bookings are nominative and non-transferable.
Bookings must not be for more than 21 consecutive nights.
Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 7:30 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Refunds within the indicated cancellation period are only possible if the site is able to relet your unit/pitch.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.

Pitches

A cable measuring at least 25 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
Please note, pup tents are to be used for storage purposes only. Guests may not use them for sleeping.
You must follow the management directives when pitching your tent/unit and related equipment.

Reception

If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Safety

Barbecues are permitted but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult at all times.
Firearms are not permitted.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
Please do not touch or feed the animals.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
Continental touring caravans (caravans built with the passenger door on the right-hand side) are not permitted.
The car is only included in the rate if you are travelling with a touring caravan or a tent. Cars are not permitted when travelling with a motorhome/campervan.
Units longer than 8 metres are not allowed.

Visitors

Visitors’ cars are not permitted on site.
Visitors must leave the premises by 10 p.m..
Visitors must register at reception and pay their fee.
