Liked: Great fun place to stay, being allowed camp fires was brilliant, the activities on site were well led and great fun. The toilets are unfortunately compost but that said they were the nicest compost toilets I’ve ever used.
Disliked: I emailed a query before we arrived but no one ever responded.

Liked: Nice area. Good parking, spacious, lovely staff for the brief time we actually met. Even the toilets weren't as scary as they seem once you get used to them haha Loved having hot running water at the washing up area! No complaints at all

Liked: The site is very nice and although this is the second time ive stayed, it was the first time i came alone. I arrived on Sunday and as expected with it being the end of the summer holidays there were some families with kids but come Monday morning I had the place to myself. If you're a family with children and are looking for somewhere safe for the kids to roam and with activities and plenty of facilities to explore, then i think this would be excellent. As I don't have kids and was wanting to find some peace and quiet for a few days I wasn't disappointed. Theres plenty of room to find a quiet corner of the forest with a fire pit and unwind. The camp is self check in and although there are means to contact the owners/staff and they are on hand if needed, I personally didn't see anyone either time I stayed which to me is a positive. The facilities were clearly being maintained however I appreciated their discreteness. I felt that I was left alone to get on with my stay peacefully, however I'm certain that if I had've needed them they would've been present with a minutes notice. The toilets are always well maintained and there is a shack which sells firewood and other small items and there is a washing up station on the side of the shack. If youre looking for a glamping experience then this may not be it. If you're looking for the illusion of wild camping with some basic amenities for additional comfort then this is a great spot and the location is superb.
Disliked: There really was nothing that I could fault for either of my stays.

Liked: Loved the whole set up- pitch up where you want and love the fact you have fire pits at every pitch. Great experience and will definitely be back very soon
Disliked: Took a while to get used to the toilet situation but that’s just me being new to camping.

Liked: My 7 and 2 year old loved it. Great time and memories. Next time will bring a spare dummy as the little one decided to chuck his only dummy into the in protest of not wanting to do to sleep 😱 so late night and early morning he was a bit of a wreck but pulled through and had a great time.

Liked: We really loved the fact we were camping in woodland rather than a field, the set up on the campsite had an intimate village feel with nice spacious pitches. Added bonus being able to have ground fires in our own fire pit on pitch. Brilliant play area for the children and opportunity to join additional activities on site, we thoroughly enjoyed attending the archery which was reasonably priced. The compost toilets on site were brilliant and we're kept tidy and clean during our stay. The site manager was really receptive and a fantastic host to both children and adults. Dog friendly too so our pooch had a wonderful time! We have already recommended to our friends and will be coming back again without a doubt. Thanks to James and Daisy dog.
Disliked: Very little to dislike! But a couple of suggestions. Having a site map would be helpful outlining where the water points and showers/toilets are and to help navigate when looking for the activities and pitches. Also having visible and attainable fire bucket points.
