Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: The view of the pond Toilets clean and well maintained
Disliked: Gravel pitches could be wider Nobody greeted us or emailed back at any point even to say where to park, or even to say welcome. Which is unusual for a campsite. Beeping and vehicles in next field along very noisy and disturb natural peacefulness of site Loud buggy coming up and down to toilet block with loud screaming kids not ideal, especially when this is marked an adults only site where people have booked that to avoid that kind of screaming/ shouting.

Liked: Beautiful location, spacious pitches that felt really private and views of the pond and trees. Fire pit included (you have to buy the wood but a kit was only a fiver. Close to great walks and Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Showers were really clean and warm. Toilets were excellent. Also has a communal fridge and plug socket for a big of a phone charge top up
Disliked: Be aware the road is steep and narrow. We were fine in an oldish VW small van but if your nervous driving your van you might find it difficult. Otherwise we disliked nothing

Otter's Nest shepherd's hut
Liked: It was an amazing campsite, with plenty of space between huts and tents. The wildlife and horses were lovely to see and made it feel even more special. Lovely and peaceful site. Otters nest has its own toilet and shower too which is really handy with the two of us in the hut. It's location is great too! Not far from west bay, charmouth, Lyme Regis and Bridport.
Disliked: My partner wasn't a fan of the hornet that came to visit them in the shower and toilet but honestly that made me laugh too much. Be aware there is a lot of single track roads around the site, but it's worth it.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: Basic but good facilities. Always clean and stocked toilets. Fire pits available and you’re left to have a lovely weekend.
Disliked: The gravel track takes away from the beauty of the natural landscape, it’s also confusing which plots were camping and which was motor homes (with no signs) and we think they over allocated pitches, as the site was full (even though two couples we were going with pulled out) and then another motor home arrived! Only downside to it being a very hands off camp site is there isn’t an easy way to get hold of someone if you did turn up and all the pitches were full, or, as we had, your fellow campers are being incredibly loud at 3am.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: This is the second year I've stayed at Hobby Farm and it gets better each time. Last year the biggest issue was that there wasn't enough room to freeze ice packs. But this year there is a large American style fridge freezer with plenty of room. Some of the pitches had small ruts in, but I imagine that's as a result of the new gravel track so should flatten out, given time. And the WiFi didn't stretch all the way to the farthest pitches - but its always nice to disconnect when camping! I definitely would stay again!
