What customers say
This adult-only campsite offers unique pitches amongst apple trees, with spacious layouts and individual fire pits. Guests praise the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful orchard setting, and the on-site cider tasting and bar. While facilities have been a point of concern, with plans for upgrades to toilets and showers underway, the friendly hosts and exceptional cider are consistently highlighted. The site is well-located for exploring nearby attractions.

Great and unique campsite with delicious cider and cosy taproom!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The setting is fantastic and unique, on site cider bar with lots of delicious options, the wood burning stove inside is a life saver for soggy camping trips. Good toilet facilities that serve the bar and the campsite. Location is really quiet and remote. 2 on site dogs that liked to visit each camp (though they will look to be fed!) Garden with picnic benches and garden games to keep you entertained.
Disliked Only 2 showers, one relying on limited hot water and ran out of hot water very quickly in the morning.

From the manager: Hi there Rupert
We`re really glad you enjoyed your stay at the Orchard camping.
As you may have seen, we`re quite excited and very nearly finished with our new bathroom block which will provide an additional 4 showers and 5 bathrooms to the current series of bathrooms, showers and facilities.
Do tell us if there are issues with hot water showers in future visits, they have a direct hot water system so shouldn't have run out like that.
Really glad you enjoyed your stay with us.

From the manager: Hi there
Really Glad you enjoyed your stay with us Orchard camping, we like offering a quiet relaxing experience.
We offer large 16 foot wide by over 200foot long pitch rows, allowing pitches to be as spread out from each other as they like.
Some people DO snore incredibly loud and this can in exceptionally rare instances carry through the tranquil, quiet setting.
Really glad you enjoyed your stay, look forward to welcoming you back.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great to have a row of the orchard per pitch. Lovely Ciders from the bar, and peaceful setting. Fire pit was available on the pitch to use.
Disliked No dogs allowed but owners dogs wandering around people's tents looking for food.
Limited showers but hopefully once new shower block finished this will improve.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely pitches and location in amongst an apple orchard. Lovely ciders as well. Lots of seating outside the shop which also had a nice seating area inside too. Stayed at this location for the Melplash Show which was a short drive away.

Excellent introduction to camping for us - will be back!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked General vibe at tap room was very pleasant - nice large sculpture garden with plenty of benches, sunshades along with a few games like Giant Jenga.
Good choice of ciders to try along with wood for the included fire pits at each pitch.
Pitches themselves nicely spread out and very pleasant. Nice and Quiet
Disliked Toilets got busy in the evening (I believe more are being built for next season) Water in shower by bar was cold in the morning
Lane for access pretty narrow so be ready to reverse! lol

I love this place when it is peaceful and quiet.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The location, the cider. The general vibe of the place.
Disliked It was over booked. We had a group of 10 in the row next to us which meant that they had to put a tent right next to ours. I think they should have been given 2 rows to spread out over. With groups on the site the atmosphere does change from quiet and peaceful to a bit of a party. It depends how far you are from the groups as to how much you will be affected
