Electric grass pitch

Liked: Owners could not be more helpful and friendly. The site is well kept and clean. Toilet and shower blocks were spotless and a lovely hot shower was bliss after a day of walking. A must is the butchers G. E. Honey at Parkham, amazing steak and sausages. Pubs in the village are spot on. The Bush at Morwenstow, Bude is great for a meal.Speke Mill Mouth Waterfall is a stunning walk. We can't wait to go back to this site next year!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Very helpful and friendly communications with site management before and during our stay. Views over the landscape to the sea on higher pitches. Small site with basic facilities which were kept clean and provisioned with soap and 'Andrex' Proximity to the village with its pubs and shops. Despite torrential rain the site drained well allowing vehicle access at all times.

Non-electric grass pitch (solo)

Liked: Firstly Becca was really friendly and accommodating and phoned to check on arrival time. She explained where I could camp and where the best views were and what was available. All directions were easy to follow and there was lots of room for my tent and vehicle. Showers and bathroom were amazingly clean and the showers in particular were excellent. Location is not far from clovelly and I took day trips to Cornwall so all easy access. Hartland point and Quay are not far away from bude. All in all a great place to stay and will definitely be back.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: - I liked that the fields wasn’t to far away from the shower and toilet -How attentive and accommodating becca was by calling a couple hours before/sending a text with info and being very chilled -showers were nice and hot and clean. Nice that there was a hook and place to put your belonging and also hair dryer - pretty close to some really lush walks( we did Speke mill waterfall)

Disliked: -Nothing to do with the campsite but location is quite and not very many food places or the few that are I would pre book if you’re looking for food out.

Local attractions

Hartland Abbey is five minutes’ drive away from the site for relaxed roams around an old historical structure, although the rides of The Milky Way Adventure Park (10 minutes) could be a better option if you’re looking for entertainment for the kids… Younger members of your group may also be less keen on peering at the work in the Burton Art Gallery and Museum (25 minutes), which has lots of local crafts on display, but are sure to appreciate bucket and spade times at the sandy beach of Westward Ho! half an hour’s drive away. You might also be able to convince them into coming on morning jaunts to Northam Burrows Country Park (also 30 minutes) or birdwatching at the RSPB Isley Marsh (35 minutes) with the lure of an afternoon at The Big Sheep farm-themed amusement park (20 minutes).
