  • Wildflower meadow site on the Ruby Trail in rural North Devon
  • A 10-minute drive from Tamar Lakes; 25 minutes from Bude’s beaches
  • A five-minute walk from a pub, playground and shops
Looking towards North Devon for its historic market towns, watersports and characterful coastline? Then, you may want to plant down among the wildflowers at Three Lane End Meadow, a pop-up family-run site in the outskirts of Bradworthy on a section of the Ruby Trail. Here, the pitches are part of a meadow, so you can submerge yourself in wildlife, escape from the daily grind and unwind with some splendid scenery around. There are still home comforts here though, and these include fresh running water, a sink for washing up, recycling facilities and portable toilets. If your dog is an essential item in your luggage, that’s no problem either, as Bradworthy Common is a short walk to the north of the meadow for walking time. Perhaps you’ll want to get a barbecue a-cooking afterwards and save a sausage or two for your canine companion. Bradworthy village itself is a five-minute walk away. Here, there’s a nice selection of shops, including a post office, small food shop, butchers and hardware store, plus a children’s playground and the village pub (for some food made from fresh Devon produce). Over the weekend, you may also find takeaway vans selling tasty fish and chips or woodfired pizza in the village too.
