From the rolling wilderness of the moors to the ancient market town that the site is named after, Tavistock will help you rediscover your appetite for adventure. Spacious and accommodating This spacious campsite can accommodate all unit types and features modern facilities, including laundry, a washing-up area, and two large, enclosed dog walks. There are even some holiday cottages available to hire adjacent to the site. It’s the ideal rest spot to relax after a hard day’s hiking on Dartmoor or a day of sightseeing. Better than five-star camping Cyclists can join National Cycle Route 274 (Ilfracombe to Plymouth) just 200 yards from the site, while walkers can plan awe-inspiring ambles at the Dartmoor National Park visitor centre in Princetown. On the banks of the River Tavy lies the world heritage town of Tavistock, with grand architecture and cosy places to eat and drink.   • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Group bookings of 6 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
  • Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • A cable measuring at least 25 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • If you are a member of The Camping and Caravanning Club please provide your membership number in the "Special Requests" box in the booking form. Membership will be verified on arrival.
