Action-packed family hols are what’s on offer at Crealy Theme Park and Resort in the east Devon countryside, where there are first-rate facilities as well as access to an award-winning family theme park with over 60 rides and attractions.
Everything at this development is bang up to date: scrupulously clean family bathrooms, washrooms with underfloor heating, a launderette and wifi are all to hand. Off site, it's five miles from here to Exeter and the park is on the main bus routes for Exeter, Sidmouth and the Jurassic Coast.
Guests can challenge the family to a round at the adventure golf course, or use the multisports court that hosts a variety of sports and activities throughout the year. A clubhouse serving food was added in 2018.
Facilities/activities, including entrance to Crealy Adventure Park, are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

Away from the resort, it’s a short drive to seaside towns such as Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Exmouth, for watersports, sightseeing or just an ice cream on the beach.
Another option is the vibrant and historical city of Exeter, to see the 13th-century cathedral, shop in the high street and independent shops, or wander down to the handsome quay for a wide range of restaurants and bars. If you’re holidaying in Devon you should also take a trip to the Dartmoor and Exmoor national parks, for ancient monuments, traditional pubs and old villages.
Nearby Exmouth (15 minutes’ drive) is a gateway town to the Jurassic Coast, but hang around here for a bit first: the main beach at Exmouth is two miles long and is renowned for its watersports. There’s a protected windsurfing and kitesurfing area at the smaller and pebbly Shelly beach, where dogs are welcome all year round.
From Exmouth, it’s 15 minutes by car to Budleigh Salterton with its famed red sandstone cliffs, and from here you can reach Lyme Regis in 45 minutes. Arrange guided fossil walks at the Lyme Regis Museum, hike the South West Coast Path, or drop into some of the many villages about to carefully contemplate which Devon or Dorset café does the best cream teas…
