Non-electric grass tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Very pleasant site with good quality facilities. we had a good pitch with a slight slope but managed to sleep well. The Bar offered a good variety of drinks and was comfortable

Disliked Could have done with some power points in the bar/restaurant for charging phones. There were no sockets at all.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Loved the whole park, was very nice and welcoming. The swimming pool inside was dreamy. Outdoor pool was nice in the sun.

Disliked Being so close to other campers. The showers weren’t as nice as the toilets but still good enough! The sloping pitch was fine until bedtime came and I kept rolling off my bed lol

Non-electric grass tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Lovely site and very clean showers/Toilets

Disliked Camping pitches were on a slope so sleeping wasn’t fun.Couple nights quite music and shouting from next field.40 minute wait for a takeaway pizza/fries and was told it had been ready for a while ?We was stood outside the serving hatch and nobody said it was ready..Cold food

Non-electric grass tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Very nice Camping site. We booked non electric tent pitch as a family of 4. I think we got lucky as we got the pitch #1 which was backed onto a fence and we only had one neighbouring tent with plenty of space in front. Indoor and Outdoor pool are very nice, outdoor pool was free to use anytime during opening hours which kids loved. Entertainment was on every evening. There is Arcades for the kids and playground, where they can meet new friends. Toilets and Showers were decent. Toilets seemed to have been fairly newly refurbished, plenty of showers! Nicely kept and looked after campsite. Overall very nice stay for us.

Disliked Prices of the drinks in the bar and Granary are rather steep for my taste. Playground could do with lighting as kids played there until dark. I understand you don't want to encourage kids to stay in the playground too long, but the light can be on a timer, say goes off at 10pm? There was quite a party couple of nights where small group of campers did not really care about anyone else in the camp, even though quiet hours are 10pm - 7am. Wifi is patchy at best...

Non-electric grass tent pitch (sloping)

Liked Beautiful site. It feels like ypu are in the middle of nowhere, but shops, pubs and beaches wre all within a short drive.
Fantastic facilities and lovely staff. Wonderful indoor/outdoor pools. Free wifi. Shower/toilet block was spotlessly clean. A lovely, well stocked shop at very reasonable prices. We had a daily fresh, takeaway cream tea for two at only £5.99. We didn't visit the bar, entertainment facilities or cafe as the weather was so glorious that we sat by our tent every evening sharing a bbq with the local seagulls and a solitary robin who visited us daily 😀 A perfect holiday for couples, groups or families alike.

Disliked Our only complaint is that we didn't find this little gem sooner 😍

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Good sized pitches facilities quite good nice shop decent prices nice clean bar and food friendly staff, overall a pleasant stay at Whitehill

Disliked Limited shower use apparently doing some upgrades, I would have thought they would done the work in the winter when not so busy, also the approach to the site is very narrow and can be very awkward if traffic coming the other way especially if you tow a caravan

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked The pitch was large
The site was clean and tidy
The facilities was well spaced out
The reception staff was kind, informative, friendly and went above and beyond by posting a postcard as there wasn’t a post box on site for my granddaughter
It was nice that younger members of the park staff undertook the activities
Chris from animal adventures was really knowledgeable about the animal he cared for and was also really good with the children in the group activity
The park had a nice relaxing feel about it

Disliked The onsite shop was really expensive £1.50 for 1 pint of milk
Limited menu on the onsite restaurant

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Feeling of a quiet site, but plenty of things to do and keep children entertained.

Local attractions

The sights and activities around this part of Devon will suit all tastes: Dartmoor for active adventures, Totnes and Dartmouth for history and heritage – and the 22 miles of the English Rivieria for beaches, watersports, fishing and boat trips. The closest beach to Whitehill Country Park is Goodrington, a mile south of Paignton. After you’ve stretched out on the red sands, there are a few other options to check out: learn about the history of the English Riviera at the free Seashore Centre, pedal your way around the boating lake, or take the kids to the waterslides and pools of Splashdown at Quaywest. The English Riviera is of course also Agatha Christie territory – Greenway House was her holiday home (also where David Suchet as Poirot filmed his last scenes. Sniff.) If you can’t make it to the annual Agatha Christie festival (tsk), amble along the 10 landmarks of the Agatha Christie Mile in Torquay; eight of the sites have clues spelling out the name of a Christie character. Hint: it’s probably not ‘Miss Marple’.
