Liked: I’d booked to come hiking and cycling with my son for the weekend… sadly he got a better offer and went surfing with his mates instead 🤣 so it was just me as my wife wasn’t keen. It’s an excellent site, good, well maintained and very clean facilities, plus a warm welcome from the owner when I arrived. This is a perfect location for hiking and cycling on the north end of Dartmoor, with direct access to the hill. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Liked: Location and quality of the site were excellent. Ian the owner is a lovely chap. Direct access onto car free walks (or rides) straight off the site, this was excellent. We were on foot, walking our dog, but if you like a bit of push biking you could clock up some miles on the old railway line. We ate pizza at the bike shop located right by the front gate, this was lush. Then went back in the morning for the breakfast roll. A great short break for us not far from home.

Liked: From the moment we turned off the A30, heading towards Sourton campsite, we loved the immediate secluded feel. We were met promptly and the gentleman was very friendly and informative. The site is extremely clean and even though near a main road, that didn’t infringe on our stay at all. And although this time, we didn’t venture inside, what’s not to like having a pub next door! My wife and I can’t wait to return. Sourton Campsite is an excellent stop off point to Cornwall, but, can easily be used as a campsite to explore a wide variety of places near by.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: It was a lovely well kept site, everything looked immaculate, the owners were lovely, and the cycle trails for my other half were perfect
Disliked: Not very disable friendly, although there were disabled facilities, the gravel all around the site made it difficult to get around. There was a lot of road noise, although it can't be helped, after a night or two you get use to it. There was nowhere to let the dogs of the lead for a run around, again comes the fact not very wheelchair friendly so, unable to take them further than the van, and understandably all dogs are to be kept on leashes. For those reasons I will not visit again unfortunately.
