General

Friendly family-run park on the edge of Dartmoor yet only half an hour from the coast. We are open all year and have both grass and hardstanding pitches with electric hookup and some with water and sewage disposal in addition.

All static holiday homes have full kitchen facilities, lounge with dining area and shower, WC. and washbasin. Some are double glazed and have centrally controlled heating. All have freeview TV.

There is a small playground for the under 12s.

From M5 Exeter take the A38 towards Plymouth. Take the A382 turnoff and then the third exit at the roundabout signed Liverton, Ilsington and Bickington. Follow this road for three miles and the entrance is on the left.

Local attractions

We are close to many attractions, not least Dartmoor itself. National Trust and English Heritage properties are within easy reach, Castle Drogo and Greenaway (Agatha Christie) being just two. Leaflets for farm parks, dinosaurs, model villages, caves and numerous others are to be found in our information area.

Ashburton (an ancient charter town) and Newton Abbot (with leisure centre) provide for most shopping essentials, and Trago Mills is three miles away.

Fishing, horseriding and golf can all be found nearby.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the Pitchup.com terms and conditions.

Additional terms

The two main rules on this site are:

1. Enjoy yourself
2. Don’t do anything to spoil anyone else’s enjoyment.

A £5 deposit will be required on arrival at the park for the security key to the access barrier. This will be refunded on the return of the key on your departure. For security purposes the barrier near the entrance will be locked overnight. There is also a height barrier that may be used. Please note that when the height barrier is in use, motorhomes, caravans, and cars with roof equipment will not be able to pass underneath.

Although we will try to assign a particular site or holiday caravan if requested, we reserve the right to reassign or alter pitches / holiday homes as necessary.

Holiday hire caravans are available from 3pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Touring pitches are available from 12 noon on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.

No refunds will be given if you choose to leave the site early for whatever reason. The management reserves the right to refuse or terminate any booking for any reason including conduct detrimental to our other visitors or park. No refunds will be given to anyone asked to leave the park.

After 11pm and before 8am please be considerate with regard to noise.

Safety

Please respect the 5 mph park speed limit (walking pace).

Parents are responsible for the safety of their children while on the park at all times to ensure they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others. Children must be supervised at all times and accompanied by an adult in the shower/toilet, roadways and by the watercourses.

No washing lines on pitches please. A purpose-built clothes drying area is provided on the park.

Help to keep the site tidy, dispose of litter in the bins provided. Please recycle paper, tins, glass, cloudy milk bottles, tetra packs, plastic and cardboard – please look for the recycling locations.

The park and its owners cannot be held responsible or liable for any personal injury, loss or damage, direct or indirect, to visitors or their property however caused (including persons under the age of 18)

To conserve and protect the grass cars must not drive or park on the grass during wet or winter conditions. Tents must be moved once a week within the pitch and non-breathable groundsheets must be lifted daily.

Bar-B-Q’s must be off the ground. Blocks can be found by the shop for this purpose.

Dogs are welcome but they must be kept on a lead at all times on site and exercised and allowed to foul off the park. Please pick up all dog fouling and place it in the bins provided on site or the bin by the footpath through the fields. Please do not put dog fouling - even in bags - into refuse disposal bins on site or private bins off site.

One well behaved pet is allowed in certain holiday homes only but must not be left in the holiday home unattended. All pets in holiday homes must have their own bedding and feeding containers and are not allowed on the beds or furniture.

Smoking is not permitted in any public area, including shower blocks, and is permitted in specific holiday homes only which must be requested in advance - subject to availability.

The washing of cars and caravans on site is not permitted.

No commercial vehicles will be admitted to the park.

Very big touring caravans or caravans are not accepted via Pitchup.com.

We are unable to accept all-male/-female groups of three persons or more.
